Triund is wonderful place for trekking. Triund is covered with snow in the month Dec and January only. Triund is a place in mcleodganj , Himachal Pardesh.
To visit Triund from Chandigarh, I took a Bus which takes around 6 hours to reach Mecleodganj.
After Reaching Mcledodganj, I searched for hotels nearby MainSquare because this place is bombarded with hotels and eatable places. Also all tourist places are nearby to mainsquare.
Good Hotels are easily available under 700 rupees per day. After whole tiring Journey, I preferred to rest in hotel for the day and explore Mcleodganj next day morning.
Next Day, I continued my Journey to Triund from Main Square . I took a cab from My hotel to Gallu temple which cost me around 400 rupees. After Reaching Gallu Temple, had my breakfast. There are lot of tapri's where you can have good breakfast and book a guide(1000 Rs). Guide is important to have in month of Dec and January as Triund Police checkpoint will not allow you to go ahead. Also, you have to make entry at checkpoint before 11.00 AM post that no one will allow you to go there. So, we reached Gallu temple at 9, had breakfast and hired a Guide and started my trekking. This Trek is about 5 km from Gallu Temple which we covered in 4 hours because due to snow, path was very slippery and risky. After 2 hours, we took a halt at magic view point (halfway) and stopped my hanger cravings. After 15-20 min, i resumed my trekking and reached Top point in next 2 hours. From Magic view point to Top point, area is fully covered with Snow. Also, I got lucky as saw snowfall as well but we have to comeback same day as during snow, night stay is not allowed.
Next Day, I woke up and have my breakfast which was quite cheap (under 50) and started my journey with Dalai lama temple. I spent almost 30 min in Dalai lama Temple.
Then I decided to go Bagsu nath temple and waterfall. To reach BagsuNath temple, Local taxis are available but i decided to walk which was around 3 KM and reached temple in 20 min. BagsuNath Temple is lord Shiva temple . After Taking blessing from Lord Shiva i move ahead towards waterfall which is around 1.5 km from Temple. No taxi's or private cars are allowed there and one have to walk to the waterfall. I reached BhagsuNath waterfall in 30 min from Temple, clicked some photos there and spend 30 min near the waterfall.
After this, I decoded to go Dal Lake with lot of expectations. From Temple to Dal Lake , many transport options are available but i decided to go by walk which was 1 hour journey and 3 KM. After Reaching Dal lake point, Got little disappointment because nothing was there indeed a small Lake only. So, i decided to Visit ST.John Church from Dal Lake by walk which was 2 Km. St. John Church is very beautiful and i took a halt there for 30 min, ate road side maggi. After Exploring all these places by walking then I decided to take some rest at my hotel and have my dinner.
After all this successful and beautiful journey, I came back to my hotel, had my dinner and took rest. Next day, I packed my bags and returned back to Chandigarh.
