Just as fall colours have been ruling our feeds and hearts over the last few months, pictures of freshly covered snow peaks and cinematic videos of snowflakes falling against the majestic Himalayas took over the internet, as the weekend brought in news of the season's first snowfall in the upper regions of Himachal Pradesh.
The areas that have been snowed in are Manali, Shimla and Kinnaur districts with temperatures in several places such as Sangla, Kufri, Narkanda and Kharapathar dropping to as low as -2 degrees.

According to reports, this also marks the first snowfall in November for Shimla in over 15 years! While all major highways were open, a few link roads faced closured and the snow and rain storm caused disruption in other services such as power and landline phone connectivity.
