This is actual beauty which can not be missed.there are two different route from delhi to reach chitkul. via shimla and via manali. if you take shimla route den you will be lucky to witness this place even in winters december to march, but by manali roads will be closed during winters .you can reach chitkul via manali in the month of may onward ,as route toward rohtang pass get close in the winter .
DISTANCE : Chitkul is around 570 KMs from the New Delhi and about 25 Kms from Sangla. Chitkul is 13 Kms far from its regional headquarters Reckong Peo and 113 Kms far from Shimla.
PLACE TO VISIT
(1)Kagyupa Temple: This temple offers a beautiful, ancient idol of Shakyamuni Buddha. The carvings of four kings in four different directions on the doors are worth admiring. The Kagyu or Kagyupa is one of six main schools of Tibetan Buddhism.
(2)Sangla Meadows: This place is surrounded by snow capped mountain ranges and covered in greenery plants in the Himalayas. You also can find apple orchards in this place. In the 180 Degree View, you can watch the Kinner Kailash on this site.
(3)Baspa River: Dip Your Feet In The Water,This river is the most famous destination in Chitkul which is passing via the Sangla hills. It is near to the Indo-Tibetan border and makes Baspa Valley. Baspa river comes from Baspa Hill and joins with the Yamuna. passing by this river is something which can not be missed if ur in chitkul,i must say this place is also suitable for trekking as well.
(4)Bering Nag Temple: Usually, the visitors who travel to Sangla must-visit Bering Nag Temple. you can easily reach this temple by bus or car from Sangla. If you do trekking in Chitkul, then you will pass Bering Nag Temple.
(5) Kamru Fort: located at 2km from Singla Valley and it is one of the top places to see in Chitkul. From this fort, you can see apple garden, streams, etc. of the valley. you can find the large image or brand of the Lord Buddha will be at the fort’s main gate which will welcome you.
(6)Tibetan Wood Carving Centre: It's actually heaven for those who love doing shopping when they are travelling to new place and love to collect culture memories with them.This place has been located near the Saffron Farms in the Sangla outskirts. Tibetan is the best destination for shopaholics.Wood products based on the Tibetan style are the main highlight of this market.
(7)Akhri Dhaba : The Last Dhaba of India – Akhri Dhaba is located on the banks of the Baspa river near the India-China Border. Hungry travelers can get delicious snacks and foods in this spot. It has been located at an altitude of 3500 m. There is board is kept in this dhaba, that mentions that it is the Last Dhaba of India. Actually, this is the last dhaba before border so it is named like this.

By Air
Take flight from Delhi to shimla or delhi to Chandigarh airport .
By Train
Shimla you can find the nearest train station. The train station is small which is connected with Kalka by popular Kala to Shimla toy train. The major railway station nearest to Chitkul is at Chandigarh.
By Bus
From Shimla, Chandigarh or Delhi you can take the HRTC bus to visit Chitkul. Either you can reach Sangla which is near to Chitkul or else you can visit Reckong Peo first. There you can explore the beauty of Kalpa and then visit Chitkul.
