Trip to khajjiar- The Mini Switzerland was not upto expectations but was worth it.

Reached Dalhousie at around 8.30pm from Pathankot at about 5pm via ordinary bus. And thinking about how do I reached Pathankot?? I reached there from Chandigarh in Volvo bus started at around 10.40am.
It was a long journey from Delhi-Chandigarh-Pathankot-Dalhousie. And of course I got tired. There were neither local bus or private taxi to reach there in khajjiar at late night just because there were huge level or snow on road. Roads were completely slippery. So I thought of spending the night there in Dalhousie, Hotel Oak Valley.  Hotel Review is 2 out 5. Dont even think of going there. Price were too high due to New Year Eve and service were third class.  Somehow i managed to spend the night over there.

Then the third day started with beautiful view with the combination of snow and the sunshine. The lake was approx 2kms from the Hotel Royal Residency, so decided to reach there by walking and on the way to the lake you will experience lots of mesmerizing natural beauty along with the cool breeze from snow. Just a suggestion get your skin moisturized to avoid the skin dryness. So I found the lake very very beautiful as expected. It was surrounded by a huge ground and that was filled with a thick layer of snow. I was expecting to witness the live snowfall but unfortunately have to satisfy myself with the old snow which fall around 10 days ago. There were some street local vendors selling street foods and also   you can find some restaurants nearby lake. Adding to this you can also enjoy tube ridein snow, Horse Ride and para gliding.
Tip- Must wear well grip boots/shoes to avoid being slipped.
