Trip to a village in chamba himanchal. Untouched even by Google and ready to be explored

Reached pathankot in morning made our way to pathankot bus stand to catch bus for chamba. A 5 hour journey from pathankot.

after reaching chamba we had to catch 2:30 bus for "Maira" village but missed it because we reached chamba at 2:35. Buses are very punctual of time there. So had to wait another 2 hours to catch 4:30 bus going towards Maira. After having some much needed lunch we caught our bus for Maira which took 3 hours and a quite thrilling journey. Reached Maira around 7 to 7:30 in evening. It was chilling there but luckily we got a cab ride to our destination "Ghanetra" the magical village. I had a local friend up there who I met in Kasol and he invited me to visit his village.

So finally we reached there at 9 pm, and my friend was standing there waiting for us. Such a nice person and great host. I met his family spoke to everyone. Then we all had awesome dinner in a room with chimney keeping us warm. The Village is very close to Jammu you can trek and reach Jammu from there. So there were few folks from Jammu who came here to work and earn some money very nice people. They offered us their special tea. 

we were already so tired so went to sleep. I was excited to see the village in morning.

So I woke up early because of my excitement and stress free sleep(Slept like a baby after a long time). And came out to see village around me.

So we were going to trek Suwanadhar jot, which was not possible due to lot of snow up there, but still we wanted to go and check it out, so that when we come here again to complete the trek we know what we need for the trek.
So my local friend and Banty (a new friend) we started our trek.

All the snow and silence and untouched unexplored beauty was overwhelming me. It was a dream all around me. We saw Black beavers and foot prints of bear on our way. May be bear must have come down at night for the food and then gone up again. Due to cold up there camera and phone got discharged to could not click many pics. But now I know next day when we will be going to a new trek I won't repeat the same mistake.

then we sat there had some snacks up there and around 3:30 pm we decided to go to village before sun sets.
Again amazing dinner was waiting for us. No words to describe that taste.
So for a long time I wanted to try my hand on astrophotography. And tonight was the night. Lot of stars we up there didn't have tripod or anything so did some jugaad and was able to capture this one. This is my first one for the stars.

New day new trek and this one more scenic and peaceful and amazing and what not. Let the pictures speak for day 4

so this is what this day looks like. Enjoyed the new year with villagers and made many friends there. Next day sadly time to leave and promise to come back.
