Snow leopard PHOTOGRAPHY is not so possible without local supports and warm welcomes in -15 on high mountains, the experience itself say what are the real wildlife is.

Sheen is the local name of Snow leopard, this was my biggest and extreme high altitude expedition in search of Grey ghosts of mountains,

my challenge was to survived and hike many km in the snow, in search of these leopards, this big cat is one rarest cat in India.

Kibber Village situated in a narrow valley at spiti, height of around 4000mt, connected to chicham village (highest bridge 4145mt ) and hikkim village (heightest altitude post office 4400mt) local are not ordinary in this high snow-covered mountains, they are extraordinary and their wildlife, living hardest lives with these animals and all I see is respect of each other, heart-melting welcome and hospitality brings tears to my eyes.

To complete this expedition, I need the help of locals who can take me to snow leopard, they know every single moment due to the safer side of their domestic sheep and yaks.

Hike of 8 km in the snow to reach some mountains where I can see the leopard roaming doing their activities, Camouflage in their world, and waiting for some animal to get closer.

its unwordable moments to see this big cat, Lots of moments and chasing sheen is always felt energetic at highest mountains, our willingness can make us low but leopard(s) making our footsteps in a hurry.

Wildlife in this high altitude is not so easy, we saw Himalayan red fox, Himalayan Ibex, Blue Sheep, Lamgerier vultures, golden eagles and Snow leopards, all these animals connected to their food chain and how they survive is one the biggest challenge for them yet very successful,

I came back with Tan face after successful completion of these leopards with just hangover memories of locals and wildlife,

Wildlife on high altitudes is not easy, to capture this elusive bigcat of India all effort are much worthy, i have made short story of "SNOW LEOPARD" and "BEHIND THE SCENE", I hope you all folks will enjoy it, do share your thoughts.
