It's a saying in the trekkers world "When the mountains call you must go " , and they called me too, to find a moment of peace and rejoice in my life .In the cold sweet breeze you just not only be able to find a moment for your self but also freshen up your tired soul .
You get a chance to align your mind, body and soul. This trek was the first trek of my life and I wish I could go to a trek a every year.
Our journey began on 18 june 2019, we met each other on the place decided for the meet up and headed towards our first destination Rohru. It was really a fun ride from shimla to Rohru ,I had never been to upper Shimla , and it was really fun seeing all those places for the first time . The roads were in a good condition and caused no inconvenience . We reached rohru by evening and decided to camp alongside river PUBBER for the night . The location was just perfect and it was like a cherry on the cake while we were sitting underneath those countless stars.
On 19 June 2019 we woke up early , freshened up and left for rohru market. It was convenient for us to travel as we had our own cars. So we went to market and bought the necessary stuff for for the trek like food and all and then headed towards the Janglik village . the roads were not in a good condition on the way to Janglik , although the majestic beauty around kept us moving and we managed to reach our first halt which was also our base camp for the the trek. We parked our cars at a safe place as cars could not go any further from that point . And then we set our camps for the night and went to sleep after cooking and eating our dinner as we have to start our trek tomorrow.
We all woke up at 8 in the morning and found school childern all around staring at us and our tents . We had set our tents on their playground and it was their school time so we had to pack up our stuff ASAP . We freshened up packed our bags and left for our next stop DYARA THATCH . We took many halts in between but our pace was good enough to reach Dyara by evening . Around 4:30 we reached simmer another beautiful landmark of the trek . It was the last stop where a small shop was available . We were also accompanied by Sheru a local gaddi dog. The approaching rain was not at all conspicuous and we decided to move a head and tried to reach dyaara but we got stuck in the woods just a few miles before dyaara thatch . We took shelter in a cave and waited for a several hours for the rain to stop. It was getting dark so we decided to camp in the woods for the night .
The next morning we woke up early , got ready packed our stuff and headed straight towards dyaara thatch . The beautiful meadow on the way was so mesmerizing and so beautiful that you may want to spend a life time in a house built there . Soon we reached dyaara thatch, we decided to take a halt there and have our morning breakfast and click some pictures of the fairy land we were in .After that without much delay we began our trek once again. We came through many different types of terrains on our way to litham , mini river crossings , some dense stretch of forests as well . But when we reached Litham finally it was like we have entered some place of another world . It was so beautiful that i don't have the right words to describe it . Snowy mountain peeks all around , the water fall , blue sky together made the perfect blend of a scenic treat to my eyes , i had the most amazing vibes standing there gazing to the beauty around me . Later that evening we set our camps and made arrangements for the dinner and bonfire for the night .
After the dinner we sat by the bonfire and gazed at the canopy of stars just above us , it appeared as if we were in outer space . I could see shooting stars every ten minutes that night, it was so magical.
Next morning we woke up early and started our trek to the lakes " Chandarnahan " . It was appearing a 40 to 45 minutes trek from litham to the top of the waterfall , but it was not as what we thought it took us almost one and a half hour to reach to the top of the waterfall , and have a look of what we found up there
Isn't it beautiful ? When we reached the top and and started moving towards the first lake it was like as if we have reached the gates of heaven it was so damn wonderful all around , its actually really difficult to express the view . While reaching the 6th lake we had to cross through steep snowy glaciers , and the experience was really a great one . It is said that there are seven lakes in chandernahan but no one has actually seen the 7th one .
And finally the stair way to heaven ended ........
The next day we reached back to jubal by night and stayed there at my friends home ..
It was indeed a worth remembering trek and i wish i could visit chandernahan once again.
