ROHTANG PASS
Rohtang pass is situated in himachal pradesh approximately 51 km from manali. From my child hood, I love travelling and one of my dreams was Himalayas. But,every one laugh on me because there was no chance of going a girl from a remote village in South India to the north eastern valley .Even I was not sure about that I can go to these valleys. During my journey I got a chance to interact with many pilgrims which have the same mentality as mine.
ABOUT ROHTANG PASS

During October ,the temperature was about -4 to -5 degree Celsius.Le manali highway is the road which can reach in to Rohtang pass. It is the most dangerous area for travelling due to land slides, rock fall etc. Mostly the pass will be closed during the winter season due to heavy snow fall and the best time to go there is from june to october.
ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE
Actually, our stay was in paradise hotel in manali. Early morning, We departed from the hotel to Rohtang pass.
Our journey was in a traveller bus having 11 members. It took
6 hours to reach the Rohtang pass due to heavy traffic.
we could climb the mountain by foot or we could use horse. We choose walking. It was about 4 degree Celsius in the bottom of the valley. From here ,We started our journey. The heavy snow fall made the rocks slippery. There was a green moss in the land covered with small white flowers . We continued our journey from there to the destination point.
As I continued my journey, the temperature went down below zero degree Celsius. our face became red and veins became blue in colour. It is difficult to click a photo because our hands were shivering.
We reached at the top of the mountain and the temperature was about -6degree Celsius. The only heart break in our journey was there were no snowfall during that time . When we reached back to the bottom , snow fall starts for about 5 minutes and our mind filled with happiness. We reached back to the bottom at 4 .30 pm and then the temperature became too low there. The wind blew in to my face hardly and it became too difficult to stay there .Then we came back to hotel at 10 pm.
