Rupin Pass is a breathtaking high-altitude trek that takes you through some of the most remote and untouched regions of the Indian Himalayas. The trek ends in the beautiful town of Sangla, which is located in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. Located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, Rupin Pass is a high-altitude trek that reaches an altitude of 15,250 feet. The trek is a challenging one, but the rewards are more than worth it. The trail takes you through remote villages, thick forests, and high-altitude meadows, and offers stunning views of the Rupin River, which originates from the Rupin Glacier.

The trek begins in the quaint village of Dhaula, which is located at an altitude of 5,500 feet. From here, the trail ascends through dense forests of pine, oak, and deodar trees, and takes you to the village of Sewa. The village is located at an altitude of 7,200 feet, and is a great place to rest and acclimatize.

From Sewa, the trail leads to Jiskun, which is located at an altitude of 8,700 feet. The trail from Sewa to Jiskun is a steep one, and takes you through a series of switchbacks. However, the stunning views of the Rupin River and the surrounding mountains make it all worth it.

From Jiskun, the trail leads to Saruwas Thatch, which is located at an altitude of 10,100 feet. The trail from Jiskun to Saruwas Thatch takes you through high-altitude meadows, and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

From Saruwas Thatch, the trail leads to the Rupin Pass Base Camp via Dhanderas Thatch, which is located at an altitude of 13,100 feet.

The trail from Dhanderas Thatch to the base camp is a challenging one, and takes you through steep climbs and rocky terrain with snow bridges along your way. However, the views of the Rupin Waterfall and the surrounding mountains are truly breathtaking.

From the base camp, the trail leads to the Rupin Pass, which is located at an altitude of 15,250 feet. The climb to the pass is very challenging specially the Rupin Gully which has a steep climb of almost 70-80 degrees, but the views from the top are truly awe-inspiring. On a clear day, you can see the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas stretching as far as the eye can see but when I was at the top the views weren't clear as we got hit by a snow storm and it was a complete white out.

The trek to Rupin Pass is not for beginners you got to have a good stamina to enjoy this beautiful trek, but the stunning views of the Himalayas and the remote and untouched regions of the Indian Himalayas make it all worth it. It is a trek that is not to be missed, and is sure to leave you with memories that will last a lifetime.

After crossing the Rupin Pass, the trail leads to the Sangla Valley via Ronti Gad which happens to be the final campsite of the trek , which is located in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. The Sangla Valley is a beautiful and serene place, and is home to numerous apple orchards and traditional Kinnauri villages.
