Chandra Taal, or Chandra Tal is a lake in the Spiti part of the Lahul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh Chandratal, literally translating into Moon Lake, gets its name from its crescent shape. Located at a distance of 7-8 km from Kunzum Pass, the lake is the most beautiful lake at an altitude of 4300 m. Locales there, believe that Chandertal is this point from where Yudhishtra (Eldest among Pandava of Mahabharata epic) was taken to heaven in his mortal form.

2. Key Monastery
It is one of the biggest and oldest Monasteries in Spiti which is located on top of a hillat an altitude of 4,166 meters above sea level close to Spiti Rivers and hence is the most important tourist destination in this region. It enshrines idols of Buddha in Dhyana position and also has a collection of ancient books and murals. It is the biggest monetary and a religious training center for lamas.
3. Kunzum Pass
Its a high mountain pass situated on the eastern Kunzum Range of the Himalayan range with approx. 122km from manali. The pass connects the Kullu and Lahaul Valley with the Spiti Valley .It can be reached from Kaza . From here, a trek of 9km is also there for the visitors to the Moon Lake of the Chandratal . The valley top offers a picturesque landscape with stunning view of the Chandra Bhaga ranges that surrounds it on the north sides with snow clapped peaks .Chandratal Lake is 7 km from Kunzum pass.
4. Suraj Taal Lake
Suraj Tal or Suraj Tal Lake also called Surya taal, is a sacred body of water, literally means the Lake of the Sun God, and lies just below the Bara-lacha-la pass in the Lahaul and Spiti valley of Himachal Pradesh state in India and is the third highest lake in India, and the 21st-highest in the world. One should not moss while here, especially if they are into photography.The Suraj Tal, is one of the most dream-like and photogenic lakes.
5. Chicham Bridge
India’s Spiti Valley it is home to Chicham Bridge, the highest bridge in Asia.The height of the bridge is 13596 ft and connects the two villages named Chicham and Kibber. Th Bridge as inaugurated in 2017. If you are planning to move ahead to visit chandra taal lake, then you will be crossing the bridge, stop by and have a look at a 1000 ft deep gorge! The gorge below is known by the name of Samba Lamba Nallah
6. Komic Village
The famous landmarks of Komic village in Spiti valley is the iconic sign board by the public works department, which describes Komic as the “Highest village in world connected with motorable road”. The village is situated at an height of 4587 metres or 15027 feet above sea level. Like most of the villages in Spiti valley, the residents of Komic practice Budhism. The main reason travelers started visiting Komic was it’s title as the “Highest village in the world connected with a motorable road”.
7. Tabo Monastery
It is located in the tabo Village in Himachal Pradesh. While Tabo village is in a bowl-shaped flat valley, the monastery is also in the bottom of the valley, unlike other monasteries in the valley, which are perched on hills; in the past the region was part of Tibet.It is located in a very arid, cold and rocky area at an altitude of 3,050 metres (10,010 ft)
8. Gue Monastery
Giu is a small hamlet between Nako and Tabo. This village is an almost isolated habitation with no other village in view, but what makes it famous is over 500-years-old mummy of a Buddhist monk. On a small hillock just on the outskirts of the village in a small room, inside a glass cabin, lays the mummy of an old monk.

Dhankar Gompa is a village and also a Gompa , a Buddhist temple in the district of lahul and spiti of India. It is situated at an elevation of 3,894 metres (12,774 feet) in the Spiti Valley above Dhanker village between the towns of kaza and Tabo . Dhankar is approachable by a motorable road, good for small vehicles only, that branches off for Dhankar from the main Kaa- Samdu road at a point around 24 km from Kaza. The branch road is 8 km in length up to Dhankar.
