A trip to majestic Nako Lake

Do you believe in " this journey is fun" kind of road trips. Well, I had a trip like that. My travel experience from Rampur Bushar to Nako was full of amazing experiences. Firstly, I never ever imagined mountains being so barren and terrain so rough.  I never imagined in such rough terrain the road would be super fine. To my surprise my Nako Lake trip was one of the most memorable trips of my life...

From a tourism point of view, Nako gives you the true experience of life in the rough terrain.
Here are some interesting things I experienced in Nako:

1. During my stay at Yangthag ( near Nako village), I figured out that all the government offices like the post office, police station, PWD rest house, and government quarters were located in the same place.

2. Human settlements become a rare thing to see once you cross jeori. Sometimes it takes a ride of 20 km to see the next human settlements.

3. Witnessing the merge of the spiti river into the Satluj river at Khab was an awesome feeling.

4. You will get simple food here. Like dal and chawal including Rajmah. Because at Kinnaur Rajama is harvested the most.  We had our lunch at Rekongpeo while going to Nako and when we were returning we had delicious lunch at Pooh.

5. Army checking, check posts and army settlements will be seen quite frequently.

6. You can go boating at Nako Lake. If you are a nature person then it's good that you explore the locality by staying at home.

7. Nako is not very crowded even though there are enough places for tourists for a comfortable stay.

It was such an overwhelming trip for me. I still  feel how much difficult life people live in such remote areas and still they manage to laugh and love open heartily
