Kutla (Tosh), once an abandoned village is now buzzing with travellers looking to enjoy and experience the true beauty and serenity of nature should be on your bucket list for sure. The place has many abandoned houses which goes back to the 19th century made from stones. The place has a vibe full of wilderness and you sinking with the nature.
Mysterious Kutla is one of the many places to stay in Kutla but the owners, staff, location, food and different things they offer makes it the best place to stay in Kutla. You read it right, everything they are offering is so well done that I have to praise them in all aspect.
1) The location:
It is the last property and has the highest altitude in Kutla. Beyond it are only the mountains and nothing else making it the place to be. It also enjoys a steam which flows nearly at a dsitance of 10-15 metres from it. The place is extremely isolated from the rest of the world with majestic mountains behind you. Wild animals are sighted in some places here and there by the locals and are kept away by using fire places around the property. We heard the stories of bears, mountain cats and some other wild animals found in the vicinity. The place is totally for the one who wanna explore and enjoy wilderness. The locals even said that they travel the mountain behind them to get what we call is the Jadibootis (Ayurvedic Medicine/Herbs) but that is in the summers. I am totally looking back for this place in the summers and climbing the mountain behind to explore uncharted territories.
2) The food:
They don't let you order the food, sounds crazy but you would find that the best thing. They make authentic local and Indian food with best vegetable fresh or grown at their property. The food would blow your mind, especially the chatni they make from their own recipe. The provide Excellent snacks, pancakes and anything plausible. They gave us the opportunity to pluck carrots and cabbages from ground which would be used to cook today. That experience is the thing which Mysterious Kutla the place to be.
FYI: Don't eat Parathas in the morning, wait for green apples with Puneet Sir.
3) The life:
At mysterious kutla, you wont get network which would be highly irritating initially but once you drop your phone, you will be able to not only see but truly feel and experience the beauty of nature. We also did camping at the place which was a great experience as it was peak winters. The view from your camp is so gorgeous that will make your day. The vision of the property is the one that excites me the most. They look to make it a place where people come to enjoy the wilderness, learn Yoga, enjoy music and spend some quality time while being shut from the rest of the world. They have camps and cottages and are expanding them to cater more people.
Lastly, the warmth which they keep you is the final nail in the coffin which makes you just love the place. From helping you trek to the place, they teach you things, always up for long or short chats and they like to dance too.
