Day 1

After getting a half day from the work I rushed to Decathlon to shop for my first ever trekking trip. I had no idea what is all gonna happen. So I just followed the instructions and bought trek pants, torch and cap. I was running short of money so I couldn't buy trekking shoes, instead i borrowed a pair from my roommate.
After shopping I came back to my place, packed my trekking bag and rushed towards  the boarding point of my bus 'Majnu ka Tila'.  I booked a seat in a bus of Aggarwal Tour and Trvels through Railyatri app. I got a discounted rate 836inr otherwise it would have costed me around 1100-1200inr. The bus was quite good. Bus was supposed to leave at 7:30pm but it got delayed and left half hour late at 8pm.
So the journey begun and after few hrs I fell asleep.

Day 2

When I woke up in the morning I saw majestic Himalayas as our bus passed through Kangra valley. Then finally bus reached to McLeod Ganj bus station.
From there my base camp was 2kms. I forgot that the 2kms of hill is quite different from 2kms of land. So i avoided auto and walked to my base camp.  It seemed like my trekking already started before the actual starting point. The path was so steep but then somehow I managed to reach there.
I did trek booking through The Great Next, they charged me 1500inr for 2day 1night inclusive of tent and 3meals. So i reached to my base camp at 7:30am which is one resort where other group members were supposed to meet. There were still 2hrs left to begin the trekking. So I got fresh up, changed and googled the best place to have breakfast at Mcleodganj.
So, after googling I decided to go to Kung and Nick's Italian Kitchen. That place is really nice overlooking Dhauladhar mountains. Then I went back to my bas camp and till that time others already came to join the group.
From Mcleodganj to Triund the distance is 9kms. I already covered 2kms by walking to my base camp. From there it was 7kms. Triund is situated at the height of 2828m at the foot of Dhauladhar ranges.
We begun our trekking at 10:30am. Our group was consist of 12people ( 6Americans + 4 Indians + 2 Local guide).
It was my first trek. It was full of adventure and sceniy beauty. The trek is easy for first timers but it consists of few tough steeps too. I had no habit of walking so much. So I was getting tired quickly. Thankfully there were small shops at every 200m. So whenever i felt that my energy is drowning I just buy an energy bar and fed myself. However that was childish because that bar couldn't provide instant energy. But who cares atleast it was providing satisfaction.
So we kept on walking and when we reached Magic View cafe at 12:50pm we got to know that half trek has been covered and half is still left. It means that another 2hrs. At that point one can see the Dharamshala cricket stadium.
We continued walking and finally at 3pm we reached to Triund top. The view was awesome. We were facing Dhauladhar mountain ranges. They were covered with snow. Fortunately the Triund was less crowded because it just opened 20 days ago in April.
After witnessing three Peaks of Dhauladhar (Moon peak, Mount Canal and I forgot the name of third one)  ranges form Triund we went towards are camping site. Our location was less crowded compared to others. There I lied down on the grass and just relaxed under the warm sunlight. Then we had evening tea along with pakoras. As the time was passing by the climate was becoming chilly. My mobile and camera battery were also dying. We were waiting to see the sunset. Then sunset occurred and I realised that I've never seen such a beautiful scene before that. We clicked few pictures to capture the moment and then just relaxed. The other India trekkers were of my age so we got alon easily two girls were from Mumbai Grishma ( professional trekker),  her friend Gayatri ( a very good photographer) and a guy named Jaswa from Delhi ( always ready for the picture and with whom i shared my tent).
When it became darker the sky became full of shimmering glittery stars. That night was beautiful. I just couldn't stop myself from staring the sky. Unfortunately my camera battery died so I couldn't click any picture of the stars but Gayatri were able to click few and she shared them with me. After that we had dinner of chapati, rice, rajma and mixed vegetables. It was really tasty and became tastier as we were eating under the starry sky.
The weather became very chilly. I misjudged the climate up in the mountains. I was only carrying one thin jacket and a body warmer. That was not enough. So I decided to get inside my tent avoid cold.
After that we went inside our tents and fit ourselves into the sleeping bag provided. Grishma told me that if I'll put the camera battery inside the sleeping bag, it will get charged due to the warmness inside the bag. So I followed her advice and did the same. So we fell asleep.

Day 3

We woke up early in the morning to see the sunrise. By that mobile battery also got discharged but fortunately Grishma's advice worked and camera's battery got charged by few percentage. Because of that i maneged to click few pictures of sunrise till the time battery got died again.
After that we were served puri bhaji along with tea for breakfast fast. After having breakfast we clicked few group pictures to took them as a souvenir. Then we started descending at 8:30am. When we were coming down Grishma got slipped and incurred injury on her feet. Hence it became difficult for her. I was running short of time as I had to cover Mcleodganj tourist sites after reaching back to base camp. So after waiting for her for am hour I apologized to her and continued descending alone. I didn't feel good doing this but i had no other option.
So at 12pm I reached to the check point and then took shared cab to my base camp. What happened next, you'll get read in my experience.

So Triund trek was one hell of an experience. Coming alone for trekking for the very first time is just a little gift which one can give himself to get relief from boring job days.

I came back with such a good experience, unforgettable memories and tanned skin.
Tanned skin was a kind of souvenir. ✌️❤️
