It was my first trek not a trek but yatra, trek is not a new thing for a himachali or pahari but people from other regions get very excited after hearing this word
So basically I'm from Himachal Pradesh and journey starts from my hometown. So the destination was District Chamba not exact chamba city but 60 kilometers ahead from chamba city. So I'm have to cross 3 districts to reach district Chamba i.e. Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra.
At around 7 in the morning we put our 🚗🚗🚗 on road and by saying jai mata di started our journey.
This is first time I'm writing such travel experience and as usually my english is also not good but trying to write something good without any mistake. So kindly co operate with my english.
So it was a complete driving day a we reached around 8 in the night at exact location i.e. Bharmour
This is the location from where our further journey has to be start from next day
So after reaching in Bharmour their was a lot of Jam but thanks to Himachal Police. They were very kind and polite trying to make the traffic in moving condition.
First problem you will face is traffic Second hardly you will find parking, and third hotels
Their are a lot of hotels but if you are planning to stay in 4* or 5 * property that you will find hardly.
So regarding Driving suggestions : Go with a experienced driver as roads are not in good conditions very narrow roads and a lot of traffic and try to reach bharmour before sunset It took 4.5 hrs to reach Bharmour from Chamba which is around 60 kms in distance
We woke up in the morning at around 6 and now we will be visiting a temple named Chaourasi(84) Mandir.
This is the first stage of your yatra. Here I will suggest you to opt for a cab. As it will cost you approx 100 rupees for round trip because it's a uphill drive and road is cemented so you might get problems if you are new to these roads
The next temple is Bharmouri Mata temple. The above suggestion was for this temple. Here you will find a small pool for male and for female their will be bath room . So you have to a holy bath over their and then get some blessings from the priest in the temple and click some photos
Carry some warm clothes
After this you will again reach bharmour from where you have to go to Hadsar . You will easily find cabs and bus service from bharmour to hadsar.
From Hadsar your Journey starts.
Manimahesh Yatra
It's a complete 14-15 km trek on side
If you are ok with this then you can start your journey by saying bham bham bhole Or jai mata di or any thing else totally up to you not mandatory.
But if you are finding that you will not be able to travel such a long distance so you can hire a horse from hadsar and it will cost you 1000-1500 rupees.
One more thing from bharmour their is also heli services. You can also go for this and it will cost you around 3k .
So when we reached hadsar we were not able to find parking for cars so it at a distance of 2-3 kms from the starting point we parked our cars.
Few members of our family have already started the yatra.
So we reached the starting point and by saying jai mata di and few more names started our yatra.
It's a very beautiful yatra as you will we going side by side a downward flowing river
Try to carry water bottle with you some fresh fruits and also dry fruit. Their are a lot of langars so their is no issue of food
Try to start your journey in the morning
So after travelling 12 or 13 kms we rached Parvati Kund. Here we had our dinner and we opted to spend our night here only. So we contacted with a local shopkeeper who provided us blankets and tents.
So here our days end
Good night
Nights were very cold
I have used 12-15 blankets
We woke up in the morning and started our remaining journey which took around 10-15 mins to reach final point i.e. Shiv Kund
Here you have to take holy Bath men only
And women in Parvati kund
After doing this you will witness loud chant of bham bham bhole.
Now my english is finished and I'm unable to write more than this.
For better experience you can visit this place in the month of August because this is the right time when yatra begins officially.
And for more you can ask me anything regarding this trip and enjoy the photos
