Mountains-based hostel/home known as "House of Stories" 

Shangarh some call it, mini Switzerland of India, between the mountains “House of Stories” is a hostel which was started by Vrinda Bhayana in October 2021.

So on my recent trip with my friends to  Shangarh in Himachal Pradesh, we booked the hostel i.e House of stories, we referred at pictures and, the environment of the property. We didn’t take a sec to book the rooms for us.

While arriving at the house of Stories and seeing the property, we were happy that it was our best decision to book rooms at the house of Stories because of the beautiful views we were getting. We saw clouds touching mountains, a mini waterfall to accompany us and a sky full of stars at nighttime to enjoyed stargazing all night with a cool breeze and a bonfire.

What’s so special: Situated in the heart  of Shangarh in the mountains. House of stories is the go-to option for backpackers looking for hostels in Shangarh. A local favourite, the hostel boasts sparkling clean dorms and private rooms, common areas that are always buzzing with activity and a rooftop that offers a view to die for! The dorms/rooms come equipped with all the basic amenities, such as running hot water, an electric kettle, a spacious hall for guests to work and Wi-Fi, which makes for a cheap yet comfortable stay.

Accommodates: We had accommodation choices to pick to choose dorms or private rooms.

Price: Starts at ₹750 per bed in a four-bed mixed dorm and can go up to ₹2,200 per night for a private room for two. The prices are solely for the stay and no meals are included in the same.

What’s nearby:  we went for a weekend's drive to Tirthan (2 hours), Parvathi valley (3 hours). There is also a beautiful waterfall with scenic views.

Facilities-  they have a common room full of interesting books and fun games with a large outdoor area and a bonfire, also their 3 cute dogs named BUTTER,FLY & UNO.
