Manali- Jispa 130 kms
First time after 3 years that I drove a bullet. It still gives me chills and peace at the same time. The sound of 500cc bike and total 6 riders moving along the mountains, almost sounds like some monsters roaring.
Well, the first check post is at Gulaba (20kms) where you have to show the permission provided by SDM office Manali. For more details- (https://devilonwheels.com/rohtang-pass-permit-mobile-app-updates-2018-19/)
Then you ride for Rohtang pass, the scenes are breath taking, I mean I am talking about snow and being above the clouds and lush Green valley and what not (sigh) I can still remember it when I close my eyes.
Now for the adventures part, just after you cross Rohtang pass there is a path of 8-10 kms which is no road and all sand.
You bike needs proper handling and you need a calm head, tbt if you are not up for adventures and difficult terrains you shouldn't come this way.
You cross Rohtang pass, you enjoy the view and voila in 2-3 hours you are in Jispa.
JISPA-
There are various camps situated in Jispa along the Bhaga river.
