Well we are few friends who make a Road Trip to different destinations every year. This year we planned to travel to Kaza & Kumzum Pass via Shimla. All the destinations are in Himachal Pradesh but many of these lies very close to the Tibet Borders. We started from Delhi and first night we went upto Narkanda via Shimla. Being an adventurous person, we planned to camp so we fixed our tents in the middle of a jungle. Next morning we hit for Sangla as our next day destination. We reached quite late so we decided to book a hotel. After a pleasant night and rest, next morning we left for Chitkul which is the closest border of Indo Tibet. On the hills, we have really few gas stations so we fiilled our tanks at Tapri. Thereafter we head further, and by night we reached Nako, a city on the top of the hills. We decided to stay indoor in a hotel as it was extremely cold at night. Next day, we head for Kaza but we changed the plan and fixed our tents in Shichling, 25 kms before Kaza as we got a very beautiful location to camp beside the Sutlaj River. Unfortunately we got the news that Kumzum is closed due to heavy snow so we decided to return through the same route as we had no other route. We filled gas in our tanks in Kaza and head back to Delhi. Throughout this journey we went to many odds and even, caught up in the middle of wild animals during a camp, hit by a rolling stone on the hills, bullet's silencer came off the bike, and troubled us a lot, caught up in land slide and in heavy rain. Yet, it was an awesome journey for me as nothing is good if things go according to your plan, where's the adventure then !!!
Hope this will help you to have your own Road Trip Soon !!!
