Manali is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in India which has attractions for all weather. Manali is almost a vacation synonym for a family trip.
It has forests and orchards, and the grandees of snow-capped mountains which make it the center of attraction for many tourists not only in India but around the world. Once you will be in Manali you will feel you are in the lap of heaven. It has green forests and orchards and white-capped snow mountains which will still your heart with the beauty.
Unlike everyone, I also wanted to visit Manali and enjoy nature, snow-capped mountains, activities, a night walk on Mall Road, and all the other kinds of stuff Manali has to offer.
Best time to visit Manali :
Peak Season - Between March to June becomes the peak season to visit Manali. In this season you can have adventure activities such as Paragliding and trekking in white snow. The plethora of festivals at this time will also attract you a lot in this season.
We have planned our first Delhi to Manali trip for 10th March 2021. Summer was arriving in Delhi but Manali has cold days and chilly nights.
Shoulder Season - October to February
Low Season - July to August
How to reach Manali :
You can reach by road and by air. The nearest airport would be Bhuntar, which is located approximately 50 kilometers away from Manali. Also, if you are planning by road then you can reach this place by car and bike.
We have decided to go in our own car. We left Delhi at 4 AM. Initially, we were very excited but it was a long journey and the road condition was also not very good so, it became frustrating sometimes. Finally, We reached Manali around 8 PM the same day and we forgot all the tiredness.
Top 5 Places to visit in Manali :
Jogini Waterfall :
I must say this is one of the must-visit places I have seen. You can trek to this location which will take approx 2 hrs. I went to this place with family and this is not a very difficult trek. We trekked up to the higher part of the falls.
You can stay there for 1-2 hrs to feel the musical sound of falling water. On the way back you can have Maggie, a bread Omelet, and juice as a reward after this wonderful trek.

Solang Valley :
Solang Valley has situated 14 km to the northwest of the Main Manali. You can hire a taxi or can drive if you are traveling in your own vehicle. There are multiple adventures is available at Solang valley. In the winter you can enjoy skiing because in the winter it will be capped with snow also you can do paragliding, horse riding, drive mini-open jeeps specially available for tourists of all age groups, Solang Valley has it all.
Though there was not much snow left when we went there in March. But it was enough for me and the kids to enjoy.
Hidimba Devi Temple :
This temple is dedicated to Hidimba Devi, She was the wife of Bhima and mother of Ghatothkach. Here you will enjoy a walk in the cedar forests. This temple is a beautiful shrine built with the rock with the belief of the image of goddess Hidimba herself.
Night Walk at Mall Road
After getting fresh in your hotel you can go for a night walk on Mall Road, Manali. You can also plan your dinner here. You can enjoy a variety of foods on mall road or just walk around with you friends, family, partner and enjoy the wonderful weather.
Manu Temple :
To see the beauty of this place you have to get to the Old Manali area. Staying here will give you better experience and you will feel closer to Nature. In the Old Manali area, you can explore well-decorated hotels, cafes, and shops.
Vashisht Temple :
This is a 300 years old temple which is dedicated to sage Vashisth. This temple is designed with a beautiful wooden and It has natural hot springs, which has believed to be holy water that remains cold in summer and hot in winter.
Where to stay In Manali :
If you are planning your trip here then try to stay in Old Manali. In Old Manali, you will get a better view, weather, and surrounding rather than in New Manali also, there will be multiple places that you can check out nearby.
