We started off with the mini Israel of India...yes you got that right, also the stonners' paradise , Kasol. I personally didn't find that very beautiful in terms of natural beauty(as i don't smoke up), so there was nothing much to go around except the cafes on the riverside and some very good Israeli dishes. So this was the first day and the next day we thought to head towards manikaran gurudwara and a small village, Tosh (around 13km from manikaran).
The second day started and we rented an avenger to head towards manikaran and Tosh admist the mountains and the chilly winds.
The bike ride on the mountains was beautiful and scenic. The sulphur spring pool was the main attraction of manikaran, one could easily see the smoke coming up from the hot water from even far away. The langar was very tasty and after visiting the gurudwara we headed to Tosh, slowly we started seeing the snow capped mountains on the way, the ride and the way seemed more beautiful with the river running by us throughout the way and as we came closer to the village the snow covered mountains seemed to come closer and closer to us and the heavenly view was beyond explanation. Finally after trekking a bit we reached the topmost hotel with the best view in Tosh and i could not blink my eyes from the beautiful sun that was setting from the mountains giving the snow and clouds a light orange tint. And hence our day ended in this beautiful scenery in -1 degree temperature.
We woke up in tosh admist the snowcapped mountains and then after trekking down to the stand where we stood our bike, we came back to kasol and then started off to manali on a bus to bhunter and then to manali.
Around 4 pm we reached the manali bus stand, which is next to the famous manali mall road where we then hired another bike and then strolled on the mall road for an hour enjoying the delicious street food in the winds becoming chilly as the sun got down and the night took over. Then we went up to our resort which was on kanyal road and was very high up from manali. In the night the route didn't seem that pleasant as it was almost dark, but we anyhow reached the resort.
But after reaching our room we were spellbound after seeing the room, and then we slept happily praying to see the snowfall next day. 😋
This was our last day and certainly the best day of the trip...we saw what we wished last night..as the curtains opened in the morning we saw the mountains all around bathing in white glowing snow which was cuddling the mountains beautifully. I never saw a morning more beautiful than this..we were speechless and with our mouth opened wide we sat and adored the heavenly view deep down into our souls. It was breathtakingly beautiful and slowly to enhance the beauty the snow started falling in front of us and we were mesmerized by the scene and had our tea watching the snowfall.
Then we headed to some famous spots like hadimba temple, beas river, club house (old manali) , buddha monastery and then it was time to board our bus and then back to our monotonous city life.
This trip was the best trip till now i have ever been on.
TIP- Going in off- seasons to these places is always a much better option than going on days when these places get overcrowded.
Advantages-
1. You get the best hotels and resorts available easily (which i think is next to impossible if you plan a random trip during on-seasons).
2. You can actually get peace from the hustle bustle of your daily life when there are no fish market scenes on the hill stations.
3. Winter trips(December-January) have their own beauty and adventure when you enjoy nature in the negative (-) temperature 😋.
A #budgetTrip can warm you up instead of ur pockets with happiness , if done with a proper planning. 😉
