One of the most well-known destinations for hikers to reach the top of India is Friendship Peak. At an altitude of 5,289 metres, Friendship Peak is widely considered to be one of the most attractive tourist destinations in all of Kullu. It is said that this location is a trekker’s dream come true.

This location offers a breathtaking panorama that you won’t soon forget as a visual feast for your eyes. This hike is considered to be one of the most difficult trails in all of Himachal Pradesh. To tell you the truth, this is a challenging one, and the only people who are permitted to go for the extreme terrain are those who have previous experience trekking.

Here, visitors get the opportunity to view the stunning Solang Valley, which is characterised by its dense forests, colourful orchards, and alpine meadows. The vista from the summit is really breathtaking, with the little streams winding their way down the valley.

As the height rises, the difficulty of hiking will gradually increase. The adventurers need to climb the snow beds and traverse the glaciated pathways and narrow ridges to reach their destination. This region is home to a number of well-known tourist destinations that are well worth seeing. There are many more, but some of them include the Hadimba Temple in Manali and the Naggar Roerich Art Gallery. Vasisht also has some hot water springs.

The journey begins in the Solang Valley, which is a drive of two hours from Manali. You will need to begin your ascent of the mountain from there in order to reach Bakarthach. You will need to walk till you reach the base camps after passing through a dense forest and a valley that is covered in verdant vegetation. On your trip up to Friendship Peak, you will pass by two different base camps. After reaching the top of the mountain, the hike continues in the opposite direction, downhill, all the way to Manali.
