Flying into new year-from Baddi to Tosh via manali - solang-gulaba-bhunter-kasol-manikaran

I was not going to waste my two day leave in any case and celebrating it solo again which may look cool in travel blogs,but in reality it sucks. When you see bunch of frirnds chilling together or some couple doing PDA , it kills you deep inside. So I was very sure that I won't ruin my new year eve this time and make it happening at any case.

Though Baddi has direct buses to Manali , but I was hell excited and didn't even wanted to spend 2 hours in bus stand , so I took bus to nalagarh then from.nalagarh to swaraghat , then from swaraghat to bilaspur, from bilaspur to mandi , mandi to kullu and finally kullu to old manali at 3:30 am after changing 6 buses . It was winter of 29th december in old manali and despite layering upto more than 6 layers , I was shivering badly.temperature was in minus around -3℃. I had tea and marched towards my hotel in old manali .

Old Manali is charm. No rush of Mall road , no loud punjabi songs, no traffic of cars, no tourist crowd, it's calm, old, peaceful and beautiful.

So 30th as first day of trip we quickly covered hidimba temple,solang valley, done horse riding there , which was super fun and headed towards gulaba .

Gulaba came as surprise to my one day trip at over crowded and rated Manali.

If you love Trek and if you can Trek , trek to highest point where we also found some ice apparently and had some really great moments there around bonfire.

Traffic Jam in hill stations is unavoidable that too in peak seasons like new year, but we were lucky enough , our driver knew other route . Rest of the evening I spent in Mall road wandering, shopping collecting souvenirs, and eating local Tibetan delicacies like momos ,thupka .

Day two was not that lucky, spent half of the day in Traffic . Did my first ever adventure sport at Kullu , paragliding.it was breathtaking experience for me ,jumping from such height especially for a fattu like me.

After that we headed to Bhunter and then Kasol to celebrate our new year eve .Sometimes unplanned trips get too much adventurous and can lead you in miserable situation like us. Due to heavy rush in Kasol, not a single room was available in Kasol or manikarn and we nearly ended up staying in Ram mandir but thankfully at the last moment we got one room at local resident which I feel is very good trend.they also get to earn and we get cheaper rooms.So we went again to Kasol and had the best new year celebration of my Life , at the Riverside Resort with Bonfire and Dj.

We are not very religious type of people but the air of Manikarna had something.we woke up early and went to the famous Gurudwara , took bath in hot water spring and had 'langer'. it was kind of unique experience in its own when you start the very first day of year like this.

Quickly we rushed to Tosh and we witnessed the SnowFall for first time.Crowd there and we went crazy, everyone was screaming with joy.it was totally unexpected and biggest New Year Surprise.

As it says 'All wells ,end wells' with Snowfall.

Every trip is very special to me, it is like children to mother.

I can't say which one was good . I love all of them .

I cherished every moment of them weather it's solo or with friends.everytime it leaves a mark on me and changes something within me when I return back .
