On 14 February, when most were busy celebrating the day of love with their loved one, I was busy packing for Dalhousie with my friends. Actually not Dalhousie, we wanted to go Khajjiar. So we started our journey from Delhi in a train. We got down at Pathankot and here the surprise came. Due to heavy snowfall, the road was blocked for Khajjiar. So what next :-) We took a cab for Dalhousie and start our journey. Next surprise was waiting for us. 4 km before Dalhousie all the road was blocked due to heavy snowfall and cab was not able to move further. Hmmmm next what we start our unplanned trekking on road which is covered with snow we might be called trekking on snow :-)
The way of Dalhousie look like dream comes true for me and lucky I was also able to see a snowfall :-)
First day we just take a rest and second day we cover most visited place in Dalhousie. Below is point which can you cover -
- Dainkund Peak
- khajjiar
- Bakrota Hills
- Village Lohali
- Gandhi Chowk(G.P.O)
- Bakrota Hill
- Sadar Bazar
- Tibetan Market
- Panchpula
- Kalatop and Kalatop Forest
Note - In Winter you can may be not able to visit few place, basically you can enjoy the nature, snowfall and spa facility of hotels due to heavy snowfall, but sometime just taking rest in nature is also a good for us.
Buy boots that are water resistant or able to walk on snow
