Day 1

So we started our journey from SOLAN, HIMACHAL PRADESH. At 6:00 am in the morning.
Filled our car with fuel and headed towards NOHRADHAR, HIMACHAL PRADESH that is the starting point of this trek.
It took us 4 hours to reach NOHRADHAR. Through the beautiful views and waterfalls we reached our destination at 10:00 am in the morning. The road is really steep and is almost a one way road so it's a difficult terrain to drive in.

Now we were at the starting point of our trek.
We had our breakfast at this small town and packed our bags with all the necessary food items and water bottles .
You must be carrying enough water with you as water sources are available at a distance and only a few of them are available.
After having our breakfast and packing up all the neccesities we were all set to start our trek to the valley of lord shiva.
The trek is a 16km trek and is full of high descent, deep forests and some wildlife. The greenery will leave you amazed.
We started our trek at 12:00 am and were all boost up for the trek.
The trek is full of steep climbs in the starting. We climbed our way to the first stoppage in about 1 and a half hour. It was difficult but the destination excitement made us all ready for it.

The first stoppage is after completing halfway of the trek here you find all the small shops that provide you with refreshments and you can have a good rest with these views.

So after resting for a while we headed towards the destination.
Now the trek takes a different route between the dense forest and all wildlife. The trek is a bit easier from here as the steep climb is no more to be climbed it's just a long walk into the forest.
We walked with all the enthusiasm and you will find a water source on the way with fresh water running through the tubewell.
Fill up your water bottles and start heading further.
After a long and beautiful walk in the forest we reached another stop where we find more of those small shops providing refreshments to you.

The hand written chants and the directions help you head to the right path

We reached this stoppage point at about 4:00 pm and we didn't rest much as we needed to reach before it gets dark. So we headed further. The view from here is really amazing. The steep climbs are again to be faced and walking through the forest again.
After a 2- 3km  we were able to see the top where we were supposed to reach. This gave us all the happiness and we rested at a great view and unpacked our bags and had our food which was really refreshing.

The perfect diet

After gaining back all the energy we started towards the end of the trek. The trek further was towards the rest house that we needed to reach for the day. The walk was really difficult with snow trails in between that we had to cross. It was difficult as if you slip you get a direct ticket to heaven. Crossed all the difficult terrains. And we were able to witness the best of sunsets on our way.

We finally reached the rest house at around 7:30 pm and were all tired. You can find a place in the rest houses where you are only charged for the blankets you take and not the stay. Really cheap stay it was. The food is free at night as the pilgrims there feed the people with the 'Bhandara' for all the trekkers. The vibes are really good. So we had our dinner and were done for the day so went to sleep straight away in the freezing weather.

Day 2

We woke up early in the morning around 5:00am and visited the temple that was nearby. The temple is of the great'SHIRGULDEVTA' and is really filled with all the good vibes.
We took all the blessings and then headed to have some breakfast from the local shops and were ready to trek to the top today.

So now after having our breakfast and all the blessings we headed to the top. On the way we witnessed the beautiful huge stone that is considered to be in the shape of a snake of lord shiva that died when a stone fell on it and the stone took shape of a snake. It was really breathtaking.

Now the trek was not long but the climb is really straight and hard. We witnessed some great views on the way and finally could see the top. We reached the top after climbing for about 2 - 3 kms . And the top made us Happy and proud to complete the trek.
At the top you witness the great Lord Shiva sitting in all the peace ready to bless you  with all the blessings. The view was breathtaking and satisfactory. We were happy to complete this long trek and experience such great views.
We rested there for some time and enjoyed the heavy wind flowing and the cool breeze under the blessings of lord shiva.

So after experiencing all the good vibes at the top we were all happy. Now we decided to head back down to NOHRADHAR the same day as it was possible to reach back the same day.
We descended down with all the enthusiasm and with great views and managed to make it to NOHRADHAR in about 4-5 hours.

The trek finally came to an end and with all the memories

The great views again

So finally we reached the end of the amazing trek and headed back home in the car with all the memories and amazing time we spent there. It was a great experience for us and a hard trek that made us proud enough to complete this.

Churdhar has two routes to be trekked from-
One is from SARAHAN, HIMACHAL PRADESH in CHOUPAL district and the trek is very short from there around 6-7 kms

The second is from NOHRADHAR, HIMACHAL PRADESH the route that we headed from and the trek is long and exciting with all the best views around 16kms. The wildlife sanctuary is all the experience you need in life .
