Bhuntar | Gateway to Kullu Valley

A democratic council for the Hindu deities is said to have been created in Bhuntar by Manu, who according to legend is the one who is generally credited with being the founder of civilization. These gods were in charge of administering justice and order to the people who lived in the society.

Locations of Tourist Interest in and Near Bhuntar The location is well-known for the many Hindu religious centres that can be found there, including the Basheshwar Mahadev Temple, the Jagannath Temple, the Adi Brahma Temple, and the Bijli Mahadev Temple.

The Triyug Narayan Temple is yet another well-known temple in this area. It is devoted to Vishnu, the Hindu god of preservation, and it is very popular. It is a very old temple that was built in the year 800 A.D. and it can be found approximately 12 kilometres away from Bhuntar.
