KASOL

Day -1

After a long tiring overnight bus journey from Delhi's Majnu ka Tilla, we reached at Bhuntar at around 9 am.From Bhuntar we took a local transport to Kasol. When our bus reached Kasol, it was already afternoon and the snow covered mountain was greeting us. Seeing those magnificent snow peaked mountain we forgot our tiredness. The breath taking view from our pre-booked hostel "The hosteller" , was an added bonus . I will definitely recommend this hostel for its awesome hospitality ,amenities ,activities and most importantly, the view.(We booked a 4 bed dorm at Rs 600/bed). Kasol serves as a base for numerous treks such as Kheerganga ,SarPass, Yanker Pass, Pin Parbati Pass and a mini trek to Chalal which makes this place much more crowded than other places.

We had Israeli pizza and pasta for lunch (which was not tasty at all,but it was the only option as most of the shops were closed for lunch ) with the spectacular view from the hostel's open terrace while planning for our trip for the next day.

Later in the evening, we explored the market which Kasol had to offer us, after some quick shopping and strolling, we headed back to our hostel and had home-made, tasty north indian staple food for dinner.

Chlal & Kalga

Day 2

Early morning, we started with a short trek to Chalal, along a hustle free trail by the Parvati river. We had our breakfast on the way. The most amazing thing about this place, were the doggos, who accompanied you without any complaints or demands.

After a refreshing morning trek. We came back to our hostel getting ready to leave for our next stop, Kalga village. For that, we need to take a local bus from kasol to barshaini, or else you can take a cab also from local taxi stand which will drop you in Barsaini. From Barsaini a 45 mins hike, up a somewhat steep slope lands you in Kalga.(same trail leads to kheerganga trek also) .

Unlike Kasol and tosh ,this village lacks the hustle and bustle of city life, for a lot of the old houses are abandoned. What it definitely doesn’t lack is alpine beauty.

Moreover the host of our home stay was very humble, and the food was delicious, which made us more hungry after the tiring trek.

Kalga is definitely not for those looking for an activity-packed getaway, but instead those who want to escape it. Also, the luxury of attached bathrooms is not available here.you will get wooden house and home stay run by locals which allows you to be close to the nature by connecting with locals.

Pulga

Day 3

After a relaxing day in Kalga, on next day we left for Pulga village, another 1 and half hour trek from Barsaini although easier than Kalga trek (not as steep as Kalga). It was quite a fun trek with breathtaking views of mountains ,river, locals and being accompanied by man's best friend, they will guide you until you reach the village. Compared to Kalga it has more villagers and families. From here the snow peaked mountain were more visible as it offered you 180 degree view.

Here we found a cafe ran by an Agra boy where we passed most of our time chitchatting, having good food ,songs and good vibes,it was more like our adda place for those 2 days.(I have already mentioned the place in a separate blog ,please go read and give feedback)

We met an Israeli girl named Yelle in our home stay .The evening was spent with cultural exchanges of two different countries, separated by geographical boundaries yet connected by love of nature's beauty. Her love for classical music, history of India amazed us and made us proud for our country.

Fairy Forest and Tosh

Day 4

Early morning around 5 am we were ready to explore the hidden fairy forest.after asking several locals when we were just going to give up that moment two little boy age around 5 to 12 helped us to find the place. It was worth exploring as we came across the utmost beauty of nature.we got so much peace beyond words.

we left the hamlet around 10 pm and trek to Barsaini and headed towards Tosh village, our last destination.

from barsaini we hired a cab for 15 mins away Tosh village.

Tosh

Day 5 & 6

It was said that from here you can see 360 view of all the snow peaked ranges and also some glaciers which was followed us from Kasol to Pulga.

And it was spectacular .the crowd was quite similar to Kasol and not like kalga and pulga village as this place is most popular place in Parvati valley.

Again we was fortunate with the view of our pre booked hostel "the woopers" which offer us front view of papsura glacier range.(cost around 1500 for a nice double bed private room)

day 5 and 6 here was all about resting and in luxery as this was our last destination of parvati valley trip.we had boundless delicious food, deserts and just relaxing ending of our trip with some of the best adventure, experiences and good memories.
