Hi, I am feeling bit weird to write after 2 years. A lot much has changed around me, it seems. What thoroughly remained constant is my desire to travel and still exploring so many places. You all remember right, the girl who loves traveling more than diamonds.
So, I think it is right to blush for me a little if I am at a new place ticking off my bucket list ( as you all are seeing in my cover photo).
For now, won't extend the lecture more and come to the main point. Now this picture is from my Kashmir trip.
We all rightly know that this is the 'Switzerland of India' and deserves all the rights to be called so.
Before you Plan a trip and I engage you in more details, I will give you some insights about the cost structure for 2 Pax (P.s. I was on my Honeymoon)
Duration of the trip- 7 nights/ 8 days
Cost for 2 pax- INR 3,00,000
Inclusions in the above- a) Stays b) Adventure activities c) Transport
Exclusions in the above -a) Flights b) Food c) shopping
Mind you all, as you know that I was on a honeymoon trip, the hotels were all premium. But Kashmir does facilitates all budget hotels.
Well, The trip began by taking a flight from Delhi to Srinagar and don't forget to request for window seats as the view is amazing from the top. The snow clad mountains covered with fog on top was a delight to watch.
As soon as I reached to Srinagar, I was craving for some good food and nothing better than authentic Indian Cuisine at the place I was staying in. So I had some food and then strolled inside the property and went for a sound sleep to make myself ready for the next day.
Property for 2 days in Srinagar- The Rah bagh Inn, The attic Suite

This was a very pretty hotel with direct views of Dal lake. It hosted Courteous staff who were very friendly and kind enough to take us around the property and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly.
So My pick for places to see in Srinagar Includes but not limited to-
1) Dal Lake/ Nigeen lake

Dal lake has it's own charm during the early mornings and late evenings both. The shikara ride along with kehwa (traditional drink((tea)) of Kashmir) can make your day a whole lot better. And Did i forget to mention about the shops at Dal lake where you can take your shopping spirits to a whole new level.

I think now we have felt and heard a lot about Dal Lake. Lets move to the next location in Srinagar.
It has to be HazratBal, it is a beautiful mosque located on the Northern Bank of Dal lake in Srinagar.

Now I had a leisure day to myself and it was lunch time too. So I went to my Favourite cafe in Srinagar and drooled on some of the yummiest food.
This cafe is better Known as Cafe Chai jaai located near the banks of Jhelum River.

By the time, I was leaving this cafe, the sky turned pink and I knew that I had to be around the Jhelum River for the view.
"It was pink, my eyes had to wink"

I walked here for some time, felt the gust of winds playing with my hair, took some pictures and left for the hotel.
This was just Part 1 of Srinagar, Hope you all enjoyed reading it. Let me know in Comments box how did Part 1 make you feel and how much are you waiting for Part 2- Srinagar.
Thank you for taking out time to read it.
