A small hamlet 6 km from MacLeodganj, set in the middle of lush green tall evergreen trees. With a lot of Maggi and paratha corners, has a sunrise and sunset point. Though we couldn't catch the beautiful view due to cloudy weather if you're lucky enough it gives a spectacular view of the snow-capped dauladhar ranges and the Kangra valley. After a short and scenic hike downhill through the bendy mountain roads surrounded by Oak and Rhododendron trees is set the Dal Lake. A large lake with just the perfect backdrop makes it picturesque. You can try Cholle-Kulche near the lake. With a Shiva temple just on its bank, it has a rather positive vibe to it.
HOW TO REACH :
1. You can take autos from Macleodganj to Dal lake (Rs100) or Naddi viewpoint (Rs150). You can hike up to Naddi viewpoint from Dal lake (2KM). Or you can book a cab directly to the lake (Rs300) and hike downhill to Dal lake.
BUDGET TIP: You can book a hotel at Naddi rather than the usual Dharamshala or MacLeodganj for cheaper rates with a better view.
