The beautiful valley drives eastward through the sleepy town of Bhuntar, in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh in Northern India. Through touristy Kasol and the little pilgrim town of Manikaran valley, it stretches to some itsy-bitsy villages around Bharsaini which is yet not explored by the Indians, how much it has been explored by the Israelis. What lies behind them is the spectacular sight of snow-capped peaks against the skyline.

Even if you are travelling solo, keep asking the locals and they will lead you through the path. The local buses between the cities are really cheap. I always recommended people to travel on a local transport, especially in a place like Himachal.

Jari

One of the first villages in Parvati Valley is often ignored due to the beautiful views that lie ahead. However, you can definitely climb over the hill to Mature Jari, only a kilometre from the road and take a good view of the suburb.

Kasol

This place has become highly commercialized as most of the trip begin from this very place. Kasol is prominent for its cafes, parties and is always bustling with backpackers, hippies and trekkers.

You can always choose to stay in camps and experience the camping life just adjacent to the Parvati valley. Try your luck at the local tents or you chose some comfortable tents ones also. Camping in Kasol is always a good experience due to its scenery, it offers one of the most gorgeous sunrise and sunset views in the valley. You can also rent a bike from here and visit places near Kasol.

Manikaran

Across 14 mins away from or should I say just 30 mins walking from Kasol, you can take a dip in the holy town of Manikaran. The hot springs are famous for its healing properties which also cures muscle pain. People are recommended not to take a bath for more than 10 minutes due to its high sulphur content in the water.

Rasol

As you move towards Malana, there is a village that is 5 km away from Kasol. This town is mystical and the community is well protected the same as Malana. You will find peace, serenity, lesser crowd and amazing Instagram worthy pictures with even more amazing Israeli food.

I don't have to give an introduction to Malana, the place is known for its organic herbs & the community is so mysterious that you just want to dive in their history. Please remember the rules when you enter these two villages, it is best that you give them respect & space.

Kalga, Pulga & Tulga

These tiny villages are for travellers who want to stay in the laps of the beautiful nature & are looking for solitude and peace while visiting Himachal. Visit these villages to slow down the pace of life & talk with the locals.

Tosh

Situated at the 20kms from Kasol. Tosh is a hub for backpackers and offers breathtaking views of the Parvati valley. You can choose to go for Kheerganga trek from there, every day there will be many groups heading for the trek.

Kheerganga trek is for the beginners, it takes you through the apple orchards and small villages. You have a few cafes across and while heading back you can also choose to stay here to explore the hamlet life.
