MAHABHARAT.. (JAI SANHITA) it's one the holiest book in Hinduism. & the kingdom called HASTINAPUR was the center.
In India & around the globe if someone know about epic mahabharat. Then certainly he / she definitely knows about kingdom hastinapur.
The kingdom of kuru vansh. . . It was one the most powerful kingdom in its time.
But now days people don't know much about it
Well this is in district Meerut (UP) it's also just around 100 kilometers from delhi.
This land called Hastinapur is also much important & sacred for Jainism. This is the birthplace of many jain thirthankar (guru)
Now days it's a home of beautiful & sacred jain temples
I have visited many times but now days I didn't find things associated with mahabharat.
It's a mound here & some old temple here as well. but mostly this place is well known for beautiful jain temples.

Jambu dweep ..
Digambar jain mandir..
Ashtha pad mandir... (8 story temple)
Pandweshwar mandir..
Dhayan mandir.... (Meditation temple)
Kamal mandir .... (Lotus temple )
You can easily visit here from delhi & near by
Around in 2 hours you can reach here at this beautiful place called hastinapur. Temples here are so big & beautiful & less crowded as well. A whole day can someone spend here with family & kids. This place have become popular as a sacred place for Jainism. The architecture I saw here was amazing. Don't forget to eat simple & delicious jain food.
