About Location: -
During this lockdown period I am on a mission to explore as many hidden places as I can. So, here comes one of them "Panikot". This lake is located near Sohna Road, Haryana. It is 21kms from Faridabad and 41kms from Gurgaon, Delhi would take the equal amount of time as Gurgaon. Rest, depends where you resides in a particular location. Also, I won't encourage you to go there in summer but monsoon and winter are the seasons I can bet on.
How plan was made: -
My X colleagues and amazing friends created a group on what's app and as chat started to proceed and it went on and on and on. We came to a mutual agreement that we should plan for Panikot Lake. As this is the monsoon time and this place is best to be at. So, after few tasks on hand with each one of us, as to what everyone has to bring. Making most of the social media group, we finally planned for this trip.
16th August, ride day: -
Two friends of mine joined us from Delhi(Sanjeev and Shiv) to Faridabad. One(Harmeet) is from Faridabad itself. So, we started 6.30am early in the morning from here.
It took us an hour to cover 16 Kms of empty roads as we were taking it really slow and savouring every bit. The roads were smooth and the weather were cool to be out. Once we reached there, we met some really treacherous road to ride on that too close to the lake as these lakes are made from the stone mines, that turns lake in the monsoon season and hence are given or called lakes.
What we witnessed: -
Then comes the moment when you finally witnessed the grandeur of this amazing mined area that has been turned into small ponds spreading throughout. That was something I didn't expect and that turned out to be surprising. When we reached there I was completely lost and in awe by seeing the entire horizon in front of my eyes. I could feel the wind the weather and a lot of noise that had no human intervention. So, we went here and there to find the best view to capture some memories and to just sit without uttering a word.
Then we searched searched and searched and then finally found a spot where we have shadow above our head so that we can sit and take all of our ammunition out to make Maggie. Finally we found one at the edge of the Lake and then we sat there, talking, seeing and obviously having the delicious Maggie made by our own Harmeet Singh. Isn't it interesting?
We sat there for almost an hour or more, who knows for how much. Then it was time to go back home, sweet home....
That's how it went. Enjoyed reading it? Give a like and comment how you felt. Would love to hear from you...
