While many relics are in ruins and have not survived, the city still stands proud of its many cultural and historical settings, enjoyed by tourists and residents alike. It boasts of its historicity dating back to more than a thousand years.
This day tour of Hanoi will highlight the very ancient essence of the city, along with its culture, traditions and even the authenticity of its religious beliefs. While you'll experience the famous Vietnamese cycle ride on the local rickshaws, you'll undoubtedly be flattered on what Hanoi has to offer your taste buds! And your trip is definitely incomplete without the traditional Vietnamese water puppet performance.
Our tour will begin post-breakfast in the hotel. After you're picked up, we'll start the day with a traditional cycle (rickshaw) ride through the old quarters to French Quarter. This will end right in front of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Then the following afternoon, we'll head to the Vietnam Ethnology Museum, which is one of the most well-organized and interesting cultural experience in the city. You will take time to get through the indoor exhibitions about the 54 ethnic minorities in Vietnam then strolling in a big garden (outdoor exhibitions) with typical, beautiful traditional houses of different minorities. Finally, we'll drive back to the old quarter to end the day with the traditional water puppet show. You could also extend this tour with Cycling Bat Trang Ceramic village or Red River Delta Experience

We'll visit the mausoleum and the president's humble house-on-stilts, we're you can visit the One Pillar Pagoda and its adjacent Buddhist temple called Dien Huu. We'll then head to visit the famous Temple of Literature, which is known to be Vietnam's first university and is famous for having been the principal Confucian sanctuary in the country. We'll then head to enjoy a local meal.
Constructed with a very unique design, it can be seen truly distinctive off any pagodas you might have seen. The One Pillar Pagoda, as the locals will tell you, was entirely rebuilt after the French destroyed it before they fled the country. Locals believe that offering prayers here will bring forth fertility and good health.
The Vietnam Ethnology Museum is renowned for its researches and exhibits on varied ethnic groups of Vietnam. Having exhibited more than 50 ethnic groups, it is considered to have been one of the finest and most interestingly organized museums in Vietnam. A top-rated spot for any tourist or traveler, its modern architecture in co-existence with the ancient culture and tradition it resides is a true marvel in itself!
