The Borail mountain range is the last of the himalayan mountian range. Haflong is a small hills town dwelled by Dimasa, Jeme Naga and few number of Jaintia tribes. The town resemble with most of the hills station town. The old government buildings and bunglows reminds the architectures of pre Independent British era.
Haflong town can be reached either by North East Frontier Railway or by road. The road trips will enhance your experiences and knowledge about your journey, the mountain, and its people. There are frequent landslides specially during the rainy season. The small roadside vendors of the local indigenous communities selling their cultivated products are a sure stopage centre for the weary travellers. Two fruits are very common on these stalls. Pineapples during summer and oranges during winter.

It is called Haflong Hindi. A mixture of Assamese, nagamese, english and hindi language with local dailect tune.
