Finally the day has arrived and we group of fantastic five moved our steps to visit some cool places in Central Delhi from Hyderabad.
Beginning our journey from Delhi catching a rail to Dehradun was a overnight journey. Here we reached Dehradun - Dev Bhoomi.
As we were assigned with a travel agency named "The Himalayan Traipse" which overtook our needs for next coming days of trek. Reaching the place near to Dehradun station where our Tempo traveler was placed within a time-lapse we grabbed our seats placing our luggage's safe on TT.
Met all Mountain Lovers.... 💕 my travel mates.
Commencement of our journey happens from here... we travelled desi ghat roads sections passing many hill stations and other mini villages of about 8 hours to reach SANKRI which is the base village for Kedarkantha trek.
We had a briefing of Do's and Do not's from our trek organizer and believe me...it's always better to rent whole gears. Charges are nominal for rental purpose and you can use them for full trekking time. After receiving all gears we explored the village and had our dinner at our base Sankri village.
Till the dawn of Sun we had a cloudy morning as it poured the previous night. Still with passing of time the brightness of Sun increased and our trek started with a super finishing breakfast. Having our camp leaders with us we slowly processed our steps towards the base camp "Juda Ka Talab". This journey.. we encountered rain, slippery route's, Tea point and lovable eye sights of nature. Slow and steady we reached our base camp near to "Juda". "Mafia time"- spending our stay with delicious snacks playing mafia was fun. We had our dinner and went off through our tents with packed sleeping bags due to cold breeze outside.
First steps of our day launched with a healthy breakfast and tea. Grabbing our spikes to our boots we stepped towards Talkhetra base camp. This walk was on snow and we enjoyed the transit till reaching our camp site passing through Juda Ka Talab.
Big Day!! Walking up at 2 am with a set of heavy clothing on body was a difficult task but we made it with lot of excitement thinking of reaching peak. Filling our bottles with Hot water and carrying some energy bars we kicked off our adventure towards peak. Feeling the chillness and putting whole efforts moving ahead step by step we energized our self at tea point with a cup of coffee. The climb was so steep and still with lot of hope we made it reaching the peak for sun rise. The best views of Sunrise were on my eyesight's with a breath taking scenery all around from peak.
"Mera Dil Kahi Durrr... Pahadhooo me Khoo Gayaa.... " was the only feel while descending. It was all fun sliding down through many places reach base camp of Talkhetra. On a blissful side we had a snowfall while passing trek path. My love for mountains has hiked to the most after this summit.
Thrilling experience and we have accomplished the Summit!!!!!
The Fantastic Five (Naveen, Venki, Dheeru, Harish and Idrees) 🤷♂️👌This was a million dollar achievement!! Memories of this trip will never fade.
On the same day we reached the base camp at Juda ka talab with millions of memories.
Fresh morning!! Loads of fun, bits of sadness for leaving this place and having a last breakfast with whole tripmates we had to move towards our base at Sankri village. I memorize a female travel mate saying "Snow is Good to Play but Not to Stay" that was absolutely worth feeling the same on the hill top. Thanks buddy, I noted this on my stickynote... 😁. I would spare a minute to give credits to whole my trek partners without whom this journey wouldn't be as joyful as it was. ✌
The Dharwad Techie's 😎- team of beauty with brains(Megha, Gowri, Bhagya and Neha) and smart champs(Omkar, Pranav and Manveet). You guys were amazing!!!
I cherish singing "Inkem Inkem" song with amazing friend Nishi and Manish bhai... you are the fuel for whole gang who made the hike memorable with your energetic words, lots of stories shared and fun we all had. I provide my heartful thanks to your Bhabi ji for preparing and to you for getting us delicious homemade laddu's and snacks.
Youngest travel fellas... Tejas and Jerin
Experiencing the interaction with student fellow mates having new set of minds to explore places was a thrilling one.
On whole set with a clear sky and sunny day we descended our feet's reaching SANKRI Base camp on the precious day of MAHA SHIVRATRI. A much needed rest to the muscles and a deep sleep was on the way to head for next morning.
In the modern era staying a week without network and only mode of communication was to talk to one another, this successful trip was accomplished with tons of thankfulness and loads of memories with everyone whole shared the path with us in providing whole support and I specially dedicate special gratitude to our trek organizers team Jayram, Mohan, DU, Sandy and the Chef. Here it ends and we choose our internet path reaching Dehradun and heading to our home towns.
Being a Orophile my fantasy of reaching high altitudes boost with a incredible camping memories and lovable travel partners. Wishing everyone a successful travel life and energetic heath. Love you'll...Stay Safe...!!!
