Winter doesn't have to be all about hibernating at home wrapped in the warmth of cozy blankets, sipping hot chocolate and watching the same old rom-coms on Netflix. There's a whole world out there waiting for you to explore. A world where you can taste exotic dishes, see amazing cultural shows, and marvel at a breathtaking white desert that stretches as far as the eye can see. That world is Kutch - and it's inviting you to join the fun this winter.
It’s time to get out of your boring comfort zone and switch the thrilling adventure-mode on. Kutch is calling you - and you don’t want to miss it!
Kutch Rann Utsav, a yearly festival, honours the culture, legacy, and splendour of the White Rann of Kutch, a huge salt desert that glitters like a jewel in the moonlight. And this time it’s going to be more spectacular.
How? Well, this year, the festival has a special surprise for you: a light and sound show that will brighten up the white desert with vibrant colours and melodies. You will also get to admire the village-inspired decoration at Dhordo, where you can discover the rich history and customs of Kutch.
Meet the Dignitaries and Enjoy the Cultural Program
The light and sound show will be inaugurated by CM Patel and Tourism Minister Mulubhai Bera, who will grace the event with their presence. They will also attend a cultural program in the evening, where you can witness the talent and diversity of the local artists. The theme of the program is “Kutchdo Khele Khalak Mein”, which means “Kutch plays with the world”.
It's All About Festivities & Adventure
The festival is a playground for every kind of traveller, whether you crave fun, adventure, or relaxation. You can immerse yourself in the theme pavilions, where you can witness the daily cultural activities of the Kutchi people. You can also buy handicrafts, savour delicious Gujarati food, and experience various adventurous activities.
The state government has also enhanced the infrastructure, roads, and facilities of the region, making it more convenient and comfortable for tourists. You can also enjoy the helicopter joyrides and round trips offered by AeroTrans Services, a local air charter company. You can soar over the white desert and admire the stunning views from the sky.
You can also explore seven other destinations in and around Gujarat, such as Palitana, Sarangpur, Somnath, Statue of Unity, Vadnagar, Nadabet, and Nathdwara.
