It feels so fitting, somehow, that the final bit of travelling I managed to squeeze in before the full coronavirus lockdown went nationwide. It was spring and I with a group of 7 were finally on our journey that we were planning for months.
And our flight touchdown in vadodara, Gujarat.
Started my journey by visiting the very rough and tough structure of the world - THE STATUE OF UNITY, INDIA. 90kms away from the city in the Narmada valley.
My eyes got still looking to that massive structure of SARDAR VALLABHBHAI PATEL. Had a panoramic view of Narmada river, surrounding hills and dams was another tight-lipped moment, National park visit, watching and hearing birds chirping animals’ roars and their care just made me speechless and other activities were so phenomenal and superlative.
Spent the entire day and boarded the train to our next destination.
Having an overnight journey we reached our next destination- Bhuj. It is the centre to reach THE GREAT RANN OF KUTCH.
On the way to our resort we strolled the handicraft villages where artisans bringing out the best of their minds and shimmers of creativity, is what one can feel there.
We checked into the resort, enjoyed the delicacy of local kutch food and stepped out to explore the picturesque places. From the highest point of kutch to the magnetic hill we we Captured all the postcards.
As the sun getting down, touching the horizon of The Pristine salt desert, made a breathtaking landscape and the beauty one can only restore in the memories. The entire stretch of salt marsh soaked with the evening rays of setting sun is a treat to eyes as you further walk towards the desert with a group of your people called Cousins .The sounds of the trinkets adorned by camels along with a gush of salty air leaves one with an unforgettable experience to cherish. And that's the moment when you suddenly realize the famous saying "Kutch nahi dekha to kuch nahi dekha".
The stary night, tranquil tenthouses and the Gujarati folklore altogether made a beautiful day one could ever wish for.
The day started, time to pack our bags and hop-on in the car to the next destination. A few miles away from the salt desert is a complete diverse landmass - The serene ocean - A beach town Mandvi. The place where Water touching your feet, eyes seeing the very beautiful widespread sunsets, hair blown by the winds, radiating endless water and soul just feels alive, yes, the surreal beauty of beach in Mandvi. The most resplendent and statuesque beach place wrapped in simplicity.
Gujarat has a lot more to serve in your voyage platter. Our next stopover - The smart City Ahmedabad. The city is a vibrant business district divided in two - the old city and the new city; The city offers different moods right from the hustle-bustle of the night food streets in the heart of Ahmedabad to the quite retreat of the Sabarmati Ashram, Kankaria lake and the splendid Science city.
Fell in love with this distant and uncharted place-Gujarat. Being a very big state, it took us so much to time for interstate travel and witness the varied terrain and numerous sacred sites. Hence another trip ended with all the reminiscences of the rugged beauty of this intimidating scenery. Landed in Delhi, outbreak of the COVID-19, locking me down and making me recollect all the beautiful memories.
