Kudle beach and Om beach : I reached Gokarna via bus from Hyderabad and decided to cover Kudle and Om beach on day 1 as they were closest to my stay. By the way first thing first, i want to put here experience of my first stay as well. I booked my stay in Paradise Holiday Cottage for one day. The stay was a beautiful wood cottage amidst of jungle stood on trunks of trees. One of the wildest stay i have been to with a lavish bathroom on the ground floor and a bedroom on its first floor. It has an amazing balcony view directly into the forest away from chaos with only melody of birds chirping. I was mesmerized by the view it offered. You can trek both Om and Kudle Beach from this stay both are at 750 metres from the stay.
Kudle stay: After having breakfast at the stay we decided to trek to Kudle beach. Trek to Kudle took 7-10 minutes. The beach was so clean, water was so blue and sky was bluest with a sun shining so bright. Sand was baked in sun so we ran into the ocean without having any other thought. That water took all our blues in minutes and we spent hours swimming there. Clean water of the sea was magical and we were unable to get out of it even after two hours. Somehow we stepped out of it and started seeking some good place to grab some bite as we were damn hungry. We stop over sunset cafe and had few beers and a wood fired pizza. The food was Ok.
OM beach : Post our lunch at Sunset cafe we started for OM beach the trek was 3.5-4 kms. We reached Om beach an hour before sunset. As you reach close, you will see breathtaking view of beach in Om shape thats why its known as OM beach, but the catchiest thing of the beach is it offers an amazing sunset. I got beautiful picture. The scenery was so meditative. We remain there till it was dark. While returning I grabbed a beer at so famous Namaste cafe, we were not so hungry so we decided to stop over some other day and for a lavish lunch or dinner.
Day 1 was done as decided we trekked back to our stay as it was close.
( For the lazy bees, If you don't wanna trek from Kudle to Om you can get an auto at exit that would cost you around 150-200)
