Getting up early in the morning the first thing that we decided to visit was the heritage enriched Forts in Goa. So we took a coffee at the balcony of our appartment. Then I looked into our groceries and decided to cook the breakfast on my own for me and my friends. I already had bought some breads , eggs, juice, sausages and bananas previous day and had refrigerated it. Then I cooked the breakfast for me and my friends. Then finally we all had the breakfast and finally got ready for the tour to the famous Forts. The first fort we decided to visit was Fort Sinquerim which was about 14 km away. The road to the fort was amazing with greenery and folliages on either side of the road. After a 24 min ride finally we reached the fort. We parked our scooters in the parking zone but it was not a paid ones. Finally a rocky pavement lead us to the fort's entrance. It is the remain of coastal majestic Fort which was created in 1612 and used to bisect the shoreline into two. We got up on the fort's walls and took a walk around it. The waves of the sea was crashing on the fort's walls and some water splashes also came over the walls and made us feel the welcoming to the Majestic place. We took some gorgeous photos of the fort. The upper part of the fort was Aguada Fort which was our next stop to visit. Then we finally rode to Fort Aguada which was a few kilometres away from the Fort Sinquerium. There was paid parking arrangement and after parking we went inside the fort. The Fort Aguada was huge and it was constructed in 1612, it also has lighthouse and was the first among in those early era. The architecture is massive and it stands still today to share the story as it was created by the Portugese to keep a check on its rivals by Dutch and Marathis. The fort was used to store freshwater and gun powders and its light house used as the reference point for the ships coming from Europe in those early time. There were many visitors in the fort but as it was huge it was easy for taking some proper photographs of the majestic architecture. This way our journey to the forts ended with lots of architecture and heritage etched in our memories and would remain with us forever. After that finally we decided to try some Goan dishes which i would discuss in my next blog till then stay tuned...
