What makes a trek worth doing it ?
Is it the destination , atmosphere,your companion,the adventures , greenery/scenery...?
Well..evrything combine together and makes it adventurous, exciting nd keep it in the bucket list of yours
I have had a similar trip ..a trekk to Dudhsagar waterfall...a place of excitemnt and calmness altogether.
Surrounded by lush green forest, cool breeze beautiful birds, rocks and the mountains, this waterfall is situated in Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife sanctuary which is situated at Kulem at Goa Karnataka border.
I was there at september obviously because it's the best season to visit any waterfall in India .Its one day trek. During monsoon one can reach this waterfall only through trekking ... Though there are two ways of Trek, you can choose either. Both of the ways start by reaching Kulem from Goa which is 60-70km from North Goa The first one is 11kms.trek from Kulem.. going through rail track and reach the waterfall through many tunnels (slightly risky and also is illegal). Also you can not enjoy the diving in there cuz You are going to be on the tracks only in the middle of the waterfall.
The second one is what I had chosen as its more thrilling ,adventurous and legal. For this one, its compulsory to hire a guide.Guide will provide you life jackets for diving.  You can easily hire one when you reach Kulem, charges can vary from 500-800/person depending upon the group solo or pair. This is also 11kms.from Kulem... But this one includes going through the sanctuary, crossing some river streams, seeing beautiful birds also includes first 4kms of railtrack then you enter the sanctuary after 2 kms. This sanctuary is very beautiful with green grass, large old trees, cashewnut trees, river streams which can be very dangerous in monsoons and then after 3 more kms of up and downhill trekk you can see your destination and even hear the loud noise of water crashing into the big rocks.. after seeing dudhsagar, excitement was beyond my words.. I was now more excited to reach down the hill to jump and dive into the water. That 1 km of trekk was quickly over as a blink of an eye. I was thrilled, excited and calm at the same time.I was feeling energetically peacefull..my mind turned blank....
For the next few hours I enjoyed being in the water..I can see the trains passing from th middle of the waterfall above me ...passengers were waving at trekkers ...it was turning dark so I returned to place where I started...and then back to Goa. It was a beautiful day with lots of memories #TheBlues
