Goa has been on the bucket list for lakhs of people for years and finally, if you have succeeded in making the long-awaited plan successful then these places in South Goa will make your foodie soul happy.
Most People choose North Goa for the stay but if you like clear beaches, less crowd, and cheap food then South Goa is your thing. Some of my favorite places to eat are:
Mickey's Colva
Location- Near Bollywood Resort, Thonwaddo, Betalbatim, Goa 403713
This place is near Colva beach and is the best place to enjoy some live music, fenny and Goan food. The ambiance is so beautiful and relaxing you will forget the time. A perfect way to spend your evenings.
Manisha Sea Food, Colva
Location - Colva Beach Rd, Margao, Goa 403708
Are you low on budget? Then this place is for you. You can enjoy a simple fish thali only in Rs 180 and prawns fried rice ( a must try ) for only Rs 200. The quality and quantity of the food was awesome, felt like a home cooked meal. Your lunch is sorted at this place.
Herb And Spice Food Cart
Location- MDR43, Fatona, Colva, Goa 403708
We found this place by mistake. It is located on the way from Colva beach to Sunset beach. A perfect place to have homemade made food on the go. A father-daughter duo works hard to make this spot a success. You can also customise some dishes. The thing I liked was that they have a very different menu. From ros omlette to beef burger, from Maggi to chicken sandwiches – they have everything. We ate so much and still the bill was Rs 350. If you had a heavy breakfast, this is the best place to enjoy some light lunch.
Pentagon Restaurant & Garden Pub
Location - Beach Road, Pacheco Vaddo, Majorda, Goa 403713
The best place ever visited in Goa, I cannot recommend it enough. The menu here is very big and everything is super delicious. With every bite we had from so many dishes, the only reaction we had was wow! You also get to choose from all the fresh sea food. They can make it the way you want. I tried a tandoori pomfret (Rs 900, although it depends on the size) and 6 other starters.
Must try – Butter Garlic Prawns, Fish Tikka, Calamari Golden Fry, Kafrial Chicken And Banofee Pie. I bet this will be the best dinner you will have in Goa.
Where to eat when in need of a quick snack?
If you get hungry while driving, stop at a stall on the road and enjoy wada pav, mirchi pakodas, samosa and chai. If you want something healthy, go with fresh coconut water.
Don't forget the beach shacks in Colva!
You will find many shacks near the beaches and if you are someone who like to watch sunset with some chilled beer and French fries then shacks are the best option. Remember that they charge a little extra (Rs 50-60) when you take a seat with a beach view. But that's worth it.
Gopal Ros Omelette Stand
Location- Margao, Goa 403708
Ros Omlette is the most common street food in Goa. You will find it everywhere. It's cheap, filling and delicious. I have tried it in so many places. The price ranges from Rs 40 Rs to Rs 120. The best ones were from the roadside stand. Sometimes no restaurant can take place of the street food. You can have this anytime of the day and you will be happy, I promise.
There are so many more places to enjoy in South Goa. Here are more recommended places to try:
