Goa is like a coin with two faces – North & South. And while the North gets all the attention with its parties, music festivals and Curlies and Titos and Britos – it becomes much easier to ignore the South altogether. And that’s exactly what separates the traveller from the tourist.
Me and my two closest friends, Shweta(Yetra) and Shweta(Bauti) went to Goa for 3 days in the beginning of this year and so many people on my instagram still ask me about this trip. Also, considering you might have Goa on your list of vacation in the couple of months to come.
So here's a list of places i have been in Goa...
So the trip starts off with us reaching South Goa, we get to the hotel in Agonda, change and leave for the beach, It’s a really long stretch with not too many people on it AND the waves! Just perfect. it’s like they’re calling us and we get right into the water.
After a few hours we left for a beach called Cola which is about 7km from Agonda. After about 15min we reach Cola.
OH! This place has a Frikin’ lagoon on the beach right next to it where you could rent a kayak. We’re hungry so we grab something to eat and quickly get back to the shore, the waves here are a little too strong so we skip getting into the water and just chill on the beach instead. Its a gorgeous beach.
We are back to our hotel in Agonda, change and leave for the leopard valley party. It’s a mind blowing night club hidden away in the midst of a jungle. If you’re missing north Goa for its party, Leopard valley is the place to be.
So We leave for Palolem and ride through the beautiful roads with palm trees on the sides, enjoying the breeze and singing some old songs.
We reach Plolem eat some food and then walked a little to catch a boat. Its a beautiful day with the soft sun touch you,the ocean looks blue and clear. Everyone’s enjoying the ride. Ah! It’s beautiful.
Then we get to this hidden island called the butterfly beach, its tiny and isolated with just few of us on it. We of course click a few pictures before we head back to Palolem.
It’s 4 30 in the evening and we are back on the beach. We eat some food, rented a kayak and quickly get back to the shore. We have arrived at the perfect time of the day with the soft sunlight hitting your face to give you the golden glow.
So who knew that my most memorable experience on the water would be watching a serene sunset while drafting a kayak with my bestie.
OK.. let’s party! We left for a place called Silent noise club, its a headphone party and probably the best headphone party in Goa.
At the end of Agonda beach there is a Rock formation beach And here we are. To our surprise, its quite empty.
Lying on sand, listening to music, getting tanned like we’re born for it. What else do you do?
Get into the water. YES!
Now we hiked a bit to catch the sunset (the place is known for the view of the sunset) we sit there and watch one of the most beautiful sunsets ever.
We are back to our hotel and its our last evening here in Goa. We’re sitting by the beach with just the light from our candle on the table, and the lights inside the restaurants and some stars in the sky.
We can only be grateful to have found time to do this trip together :)
