GOA: From a practical perspective

We have all heard of this exotic holiday destination. But lets face it: not everyone has an idea of what to do there.!

GETTING THERE- you can take the panjim belgaum road,  castle rock and dudh sagar falls are must go places along the way.  Traffic in panjim is horrible.  You end up spending an hour to travel 20kms!

ACCOMODATION - Goa is a place for couples,  drinking buddies and beach lovers.  Our stay was at ZOSTEL near calangute.  Its pretty clean and basic.  Promoting backpacker culture,  you get to stay in a/c dormitories.  The vibe is great.  Id suggest that you try it out! Hotels and resorts suiting all budgets are available.

There are busy crowded beaches and virgin beaches in goa.  Make sure you ask around.  Having a local friend always helps. 
Remember- food is costly at the beach shacks run by the locals.  They'll charge more than the MRP!

FOOD- try out goan fish thali if you love seafood.  If Munching on crispy fish with the sea breeze on your face and bryan adam songs in the background is your thing,  then head to the various restaurant and bars on every beach.

PlACES TO GO- 1.agonda fort is worth a visit.
2. You may go to baga beach for it parties and nightclubs.  Every beach shack provides places seating on the beachshore with a candlelight.  Like i said,  goa is best for honeymoon couples! 
3. Calangute beach is great for watersports- para sailing,  water ski etc
4.panjim-for its nightlife and casinos!
5. Mapusa is famous for  flea markets

Therefore I'd say goa is a place you should go to for its pristine beaches,  hippy culture, parties and cheap drinks!
