I love how refreshing and peaceful the oceans makes us feel, so this time I decided to go the hottest destination of beaches in India, GOA!!! Goa is the hub of beaches in India which is surrounded with Arabian sea coast of approx. 160 kms. It is divided in North and South Goa and both are equally beautiful.
The people of Goa follow Catholic culture which is a blend of Portugese and Indian culture. They are very cooperative, helping and fun loving. Sea food is the staple food of Goa but you can easily survive here even if you are a vegan. You can find many pubs, casinos and restaurants here. It's very easy to explore Goa if you know driving because we get a cars and 2-wheelers on rent. But even if you don't know driving, you can easily hire a taxi. Or else, you can go with the local site-seeing buses who will take you to all the tourist spots of Goa.
I had planned a trip of 5 days to Goa, though 5 days are too much to explore but too less to relax.. ????????
I went by bus from Pune to Velha, Goa. It takes about 10 hrs to reach by bus. From there I hired a local taxi to reach https:/alcovegoa.com/ near Vagator Beach where I had booking.
Vagator Beach is a very peaceful Beach in North Goa. So on day one, I decided to chill in the Resort and have a romantic beach walk. As Alcove resort is situated at Vagator Beach it can be categorized as a private beach resort because it has direct connectivity to the beach. We can see many foreigners here as they prefer private beach experience. Here, we can engage in many adventurous water sports activities like parasailing, kayaking, banana tube boat ride, windsurfing, kite surfing and so on.
North Goa:
We went in the month of November still it was quiet sunny, so we decided to go with one of the local travel groups who arranged a 13-seater mini bus for all our fellow travelers. The tour started at 8:00 am and ended around 5:00 pm which included lunch. We started with the oldest church in Goa, Se Cathedral Basilica of Bom Jesus which is also a UNESCO world heritage site and then we proceeded to Old Goa, Old Goa Church, Panjim which is the capital of Goa, Calangute beach, Candolim beach where we did boating and saw dolphins, Dona Paula beach, Anjuna beach,Baga beach, Fort Aguada beach and Mapusa market. After such a wonderful tour we then reached the resort, freshend up and spent the evening in one of the amazing pub near by.
South Goa:
We hired a 2- wheeler for exploring South Goa and started our day with Cabo de rama fort, Agonda beac, Palolem beach and Mangeshi temple of Lord Shiva. All the places have some amazing view and amazing stories. For day 4 and 5 also, we hired a bike and explored some beaches in north Goa which were near by and spent time at Vagator beach and our lovely Alcove resort.
This is how I spent my time in Goa and took some breath taking views and lovely memories with me. I would defenitely visit here again whenever I will be in need of some ME time and would stay with warmth of the sea.. Byeeee Goa... You will be missed badly!!!!
