Goa, one of the most famous tourist destinations in India known for its beautiful beaches, nightlife and places of worship. Every year many tourists visit Goa just to enjoy beauty of the beach.
Goa, a perfect destination to chillax!!!!
2020 was really a challenging year for all of us due to corona pandemic and all of us spent this year marking ourselves safe at home in lockdown so we (me and my better half) decided to take a break from our monotonous life routine and planned to visit Goa.
There are multiple ways by which we can reach Goa from Pune but decided not to spend much time in travelling so planned to take flight. As there was no direct flight from Pune post lockdown so had to board flight from Mumbai.
Day 1
Early morning, we left for Mumbai and reached airport around 11 AM. We took afternoon flight and reached Goa within an hour. It was already 2 PM and we were really tired as we were travelling since early morning. So we thought not to spend much time in exploring other commute options, booked the private cab and reached our hotel- Kingstork Beach Resort Calangute ,North Goa.
CALANGUTE BEACH
Calangute beach was at walkable distance from our hotel(5 mins max) so checked-in into our hotel, took few minutes rest and got ready for beach fun. The beach was not much crowded in afternoon time. But in the evening it was lively so we preferred relaxing on beach shacks, trying out random food and enjoying the sunset. After a long time we had so much fun and masti...
After our supper we went to Calangute market which is hardly 5-10 mins walk from beach and bought some funky shirts and Tees for both of us at affordable price.
One thing which I really not liked about this beach was it has been extremely commercialized. You will find many hotels and shack on beach and huge crowed in morning and evening. So if you are looking for some peace of mind and wanted to enjoy the own company then I must say Calangute is not a good choice.
Day 2
Next day we woke up early as we decided to finish at least 3 - 4 destinations which are on North side of CALANGUTE. We hired a scotty (activa- 300 RS/DAY) and headed to our first spot of the day.
ARAMBOL BEACH
ARAMBOL beach which is in North Goa. We reached here in around 1 to 1.5 hours from Calangute. It was serene and beautiful, not much crowded. So it was good to spend some quality time with my better half. People must definitely explore this place.
CHAPORA FORT
Our next place in todays bucket list was "Dil Chahta Hai", CHAPORA fort which was 19 kms away from ARAMBOL beach. This fort offers splendid views of the adjoining "Vagator beach". Although fort was in detrioted condition, yet it can't stop people from visiting where "Dil Chahta hai" stars once shooted.
VAGATOR BEACH
Then we went to one of our favorites , VAGATOR beach which is just 1.5 kms from CHAPORA fort. People mostly come to see sunset here. It is also clean, calm and not much crowded. Amazing views!!!!!!
ANJUNA BEACH
Post Lunch, we got charged up for our last spot of the day, ANJUNA beach. It took us only 15 mins to reach there from Vagator.
This beach was a bit crowded yet awesome. I must say if you really wanna do some water sports then Anjuna is paradise for water sports lovers. You will find lot of worth trying sports here like Paragliding, Parasailing, Banana ride etc..
we spent entire evening on ANJUNA and enjoyed the sunset over there.
Day 3
On our third day in Goa, we planned to explore the South side of CALANGUTE which started with a famous place in Panjim- DAUNA PAULA.
DAUNA PAULA
We were really excited to explore this famous tourist place as we already heard a lot about its mesmerizing sea-view. It is also famous as few best scenes from Bollywood movie SINGHAM were filmed there. But unfortunately we could not explore more as some renovation was going on there although we managed to get a glimpse of the place and clicked few good pictures.
MIRAMAR BEACH
Our next destination was near DAUNA PAULA which is a soothing beach in the city area, MIRAMAR BEACH. Less crowded yet worth paying a visit. If you wanna take a break from the fast pace of city life I think this is a nice place to relax and rejuvenate. On the way to our next destination we found some eye catching Casino's Cruise nearby MIRAMAR beach. Unfortunately we could not explore Casino's as we don't want to miss other destinations.
AGUADA FORT
Now its time to explore one more historic place after chapora, AGUADA fort. One of the famous tourist spots for its beautiful sea view from the top and worth capturing memorable pics.
In the end we ate from local thelas (small shop) and continued our journey.\
SINQUERIUM BEACH
Right beside AGUADA FORT there was one more pleasant beach named SINQUERIUM. Clean, less crowded and worth exploring beach. We spent some time there.
Then we headed towards our hotel in CALANGUTE to get ready and explore nightlife of GOA.
BAGA BEACH
Hurray !!! Now its time for party on BAGA Beach. BAGA is famous for its nightlife as there are lot of options on beach where you can go and do some hard rock parties. One thing I must say about this place is that it is ideal spot for party lovers. Very happening , full of party animals, crazy music, yummy food. BAGA beach made our day.
Hence this day ended with pagalpanti 🙂 🙂
Day 4
We did not realized how fast the time flew. We spent three days in beautiful and full of life north Goa and now its time to enjoy and explore other side of Goa i.e. South Goa. We booked a private taxi with the help of bhaiya from whom we had taken scotty on rent. He charged us 2500 rs which was quite ok. It took us around 2 hour to reach our resort in South Goa, PALM TREES near PATNEM BEACH..
The resort was quite good ,ecofriendly and very peaceful.
It was already 2 pm in the afternoon and it was too hot to step outside. As we were really tired, we quickly grabbed some food near to our resort and took rest.
PATNEM BEACH
View From Shacks on Patnem Beach
Beach was just 1 min walk from our resort. This beach is very calm, less crowded , place worth spending time. There are many shacks (Nirvana, Café Fiesta ,Namaste etc..) where you can have good food and awesome beach view for hours. We were so enchanted with the view that we decided to spend our evening in lap of this pacifying place.
Day 5
We woke up early in the morning and went for morning walk on PATNEM beach. Then a ferry wale bhaiya came to us and offered a good deal of 500 rs per head with a group for showing us Dolphins, butterfly beach and honeymoon beach.
At around 8 o'clock in the morning we started from PATNEM beach on our ferry ride to see the dolphins first. They were playing hide and seek. But somehow we managed to get a good glimpse of dolphins there. Our next spot was butterfly beach. It is called as BUTTERFLY beach as the beach is located in between two mountains in such a s way that makes it look like butterfly.
Then our last ferry ride was towards HONEYMOON beach and yahh!!! it was kind of a picture clicking spot. Without wasting much time we captured few unforgettable memories. In this way our 1 hour ride came to an end.
Maza aa gya, ek bar jana to banta hai boss !!!! (Definitely... Worth Visiting)
PALOLEM BEACH
Another beach we explored in South Goa is PALOLEM. It is one of the most crowded beaches of south Goa. You can enjoy sun set and good water sports like kayaking, banana ride, etc.
There are so many beach resorts where you can stay and enjoy scenic beach view 24*7.
AGONDA BEACH
Another beautiful beach in South Goa with beautiful view. Again famous for water sports and definitely not much crowded so you can enjoy spending some time there.
Day 6
It was our last day in Goa and its time to go back to our regular routine. with lots of good memories about Goa.
Our Train was at 3:30 PM from Madgaon Station and the available commute to Madgaon from Patnem is either book a taxi which charges around 1200/-RS or take city bus from Canacona (main bus stop near Patnem). As we have enough time so decided to go by city bus and it took around 1 hour to reach Madgaon with very minimal charge of 35/- RS per Person which is very cheap.
On our way back to Pune by GOA EXPRESS Train we got a chance to get a glimpse of " DudhSagar Water Fall ". What a perfect view !!!!!!!
Definitely, Unforgettable trip of our Life !!!
