My friend and I had planned to visit Goa a year ago. As we are going to complete our post-graduation soon, we decided to visit Goa this time. Initially, about 10 people were ready to join us. However, the day before the journey, the number came down to 4. I promised my friends that it would be a budget trip, costing less than 1000 rupees. Despite their doubts, we started our journey on the last Friday of March.
We took the train to Madgaon around 6:30 pm, opting for local tickets that cost only 200 rupees per head. Fortunately, we were lucky to get seats for everyone. We reached Madgaon around 5 am. After freshening up and taking a short rest, we began to explore the streets of Madgaon. Our first stop was the Holy Spirit Church, which was beautiful. After leaving there, we took a package to North Goa, costing us 210 rupees per head. At 9:00 am, we boarded the tour agency bus and were excited to roam around Goa.
We visited Calangute and Anjuna beaches. Calangute beach was crowded, while Anjuna beach was calm and quiet. Besides those beaches, we visited the National Customs and Excise Museum and Our Lady Immaculate Conception Church at Panaji. The trip ended around 8:00 pm, and we caught the return train around 8:30 pm.
