Colva Beach Reviews

Wow..Then we went to the final destination Colva Beach.. The Colva Beach lies about 6 Kms to the west of Margao and is the oldest, largest and the most spectacular beaches of South Goa. The beach consists of about 25kms of the fine powdered white sand and is bounded along its coast by coconut palms that stretch from Bogmalo in the north to Cabo de Rama in the south along south Goa's coastline. Its a standard, gorgeous South Goa beach. Sandy beach, life-guard is on duty, there are dangerous rip-tides to watch out for, good clean warm waters, spectacular sunsets, Working fishermen and their boats on the north end of the beach...Plenty of shops around... We reached Colva beach at around 6.00pm..Luckily we could see sun hiding in the ocean..Just like our mind where within couple of hours we gona say goodbye to this lively Goa..We walked a little along the sea side..Our heart was weeping inside..Oh yaar...we are going back from this place..from this city where party never ends...Back to our schedules..Tensions and Stress...We bought some sweets for our friends and family...The shopkeeper told 'Bebinca' is the most famous sweet in Goa..and we all bought 3-4 packets... Finally We reached Madagaon station and waved goodbye to Madagaon and entered the train...After having dinner, we all slept and once we wake up in the morning, we reached Kerala.. Once we returned back to our office, many people got inspired by our trip and they all were excited once we told the stories to them..We got many feedbacks from our friends like we really motivate them and proved that 'Nothing is Impossible if we have passion to the thing we do'.. If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.. ow...GO...GOA...GONE.... Finally, Goa is a flood of memories, of thrills and of images. Even after returning from Goa, I can still taste the salt on my lips... feel the sand between my toes...smell the Goan spices...hear the waves as they crash....see the footprints left behind and know the joy of living....The whisper of the wind...waves that froth as they collapse at your feet...nights under the stars......seashells that carry the sound of the ocean...the glorious colours of light as the sun sets into the sea...the warmth of waters that envelop you...horizons that stretch forever... Come to Goa...and get in touch with yourself again...Feel Lively.... In the end..it's not the years in your life that count, Its the life in your years.! Follow Your Dreams...Be Happy..Do Good and Stay Healthy...
After lunch we went to Marbor beach which is 40 kms away from butterfly beach. It was a long drive on bikes in Goa, got to see all stunning hotels and small small lanes and French model houses, it was all together a different experience. In marbor we did parasyling, bumper ride, jet skiing and banana ride for 2000 in package. If we go to goa should never miss water sports no matter how much fear to water or heights you might have. Because you will regret later if missed. By the time we reached palolem from marbor, it was 9pm. Had dinner on streets of Palolem, we found a good stall with burgers and wraps for very reasonable prices. The taste was also yum. Wandered on palolem streets for some time and went back to room. On last day we went to north goa in hired private vehicle. First we went to Aguada fort. If you want to visit fort, need to book slots before reaching there. Fort was soo big, we couldn't cover whole place. It was soo sunny day. We clicked many pictures in all possible corners😋. On our way back from fort, we went for boating in Colva beach, there we saw old jail of Goa and also rare sight of Dolphins.
Today we were excited to get all beachy😂. We headed out to colva beach where my friends wanted to do parasailing. All I wanted was to sit and enjoy the sun and get all tanned. Well so they went on there adventure and I was set for mine. I took the stroll on the beach and then had a beer looking at the beach and enjoying the waves. Colva also has flea market where we get all the Goa souvenir. We shopped some and also fed ourselves with good Goan food. Then we headed to Cola beach. The ride to cola beach was so thrilling. Cola beach is one of the best beach we have visited till date. But the road to cola beach is not that great. You need to off-road which was little scaring for us but after all the adventure of reaching there when we saw the beach , we felt everything was worth all the effort. The beach offers a very scenic view. It is little secluded. It has lagoon which is surrounded by coconut trees. Also one can stay in beach huts .
After reaching Madgaon, the first important thing I did was renting a 2-wheeler which cost me around INR 300 per day.Since my cousin was to arrive a few hours later, I had ample time before we started our holiday. I decided to explore the nearby beaches by my own.Google Maps started searching and it found Colva Beach which is where my epic journey and love for Goan beaches started! The first thing I observed once I reached there was that it was CLEAN! This may sound bizarre to some but I had visited a few Mumbai beaches (Juhu, Girgaon, Dadar). Every beach in Mumbai has 2 layers. One layer is of the people, and other layer after that is the Garbage which is thrown by the people and after that you'll see the sand followed by water. Thankfully, that wasn't the case here. There was peace which was broken only by the sound of waves. After spending some time there, I went to 2-3 nearby beaches as well before embarking on the most awaited destination - Palolem!
After a sumptuous goan breakfast with coffee, we headed straight back to Madgaon and hired a cab to Colva. I had a very nice experience last time in Colva with my wife at the Kentucky restaurant and I recommended we go there. Kentucky was the same which I saw 2 years back and it certainly did not disappoint this time around. The goan lunch with King fish curry, fried prawns and cheesy calamari was one of the best lunches I ever had in my life. I highly recommend Kentucky restaurant if you are at the Colva beach as it's a perfect place to relax and enjoy sea food. There are not many other shacks at Colva though and the beach is not as happening as some of the other beaches in Goa. All in all, Palolem in my opinion is a great beach to hang out if you value peace more than party. Thank God we have Goa.
