Things to Do at Agonda Beach
Agonda Beach offers a variety of activities and experiences that will make your stay more fun.
Swimming and sunbathing: Best time to swim is from October to March when the waters are calmer. Some spots have stronger current where you can scout for the perfect spot on the 3km long stretch. At the south end of the beach past the rocks, there is a calm area, perfect for swimming during low tide.

Yoga and Meditation: Known for its yoga and meditation retreats, Agonda offers several schools where travelers can rejuvenate and relax.

Boating and dolphin spotting: You can hire a boat from Agonda Beach and go for a ride. Spot dolphins in their natural habitat, as they often come close to the shore. The best time to see dolphins is early morning or late afternoon.

Shopping and eating: Try some local delicacies such as fish curry, prawns, crabs, etc., or opt for some continental or international cuisines. Some notable ones are Agonda Corner, Little Plantain, Romya bakery and many other small souvenir shops for for shopping knick knacks.
Witnessing turtle nesting site: One of the unique features of Agonda Beach is that it is a turtle nesting site for the endangered Olive Ridley turtles. These turtles come to the beach every year between November and March to lay their eggs. Witness this amazing phenomenon by visiting the Galgibaga Beach close to Agonda.
Water Sports: Activities like surfing, paddleboarding, and kayaking are available.

Places To Stay Near Agonda Beach
Huts and cottages: Almost the entirety of the Agonda Beach is lined with cute beach side huts and cottages so there's a lot of options available. Most offer some beach-facing huts along with cheaper garden view options which are basically on the beach but in rows behind the beach-facing ones. Beach facing huts can cost anywhere from ₹2000 - ₹7000 depending on the season while the garden ones are much cheaper. Here's some beach-huts that our community has reviewed:
