It was around 6 am when I woke up, the gleaming sunlight entered the room and it was so blissful. My friend was already getting ready for her work. I crawled out of the bed and walked to the balcony to enjoy the sunshine. With the rising sun in front of me and cold breeze tingling my skin, ah !! it was a heaven feel.
It was around 6 am when I woke up, the gleaming sunlight entered the room and and kissed me Good Morning . My friend was already getting ready for her work. I crawled out of the bed and walked to the balcony to enjoy the sunshine. With the rising sun in front of me and cold breeze tingling my skin, it felt like a true heaven. I made some eggs for my breakfast and made a few calls to book my trips from the trip brochures (which I brought yesterday from the tourist information centre ). Meanwhile my friend left for work, while I got ready to hit my adventure.
"Remember: Always carry a jerkin or two with you to Dublin, because surviving without jerkins there is something impossible and it cost a bomb to buy one there."
Thankfully my friend already warned me to bring a pair of jerkins and I stepped out right on time to catch the Luas. I reached Abbey Street ( same place where I went yesterday) and walked to landmark when my agent mentioned me to come. That's exactly where the tourist bus comes and picks up the people for the trip.
"Things to remember:
1. Always be on time. Because the people there are damn punctual. Even if you miss a minute you will lose out everything. Literally no excuses.
2. Always carry water and eatables with you, because you may feel exhausted and dehydrated very often thanks to the weather.
3. Keep your travel brochures and the number of the agent who picks and drops you.
4. Keep a spare jacket with you as the weather gets aggressive at times (After all its an island dude ).
5. "Please", "Sorry" and "Thanks" should always be present in your sentence to sound polite else you are termed as a rude person.
6. People there are very kind so never hesitate to reach out for any help, they will do it with a smile.
7. Though it's a land of Irish people, people speak only English so you have got nothing to worry about. But never try to imitate Irish accent, that will irk the folks there.
Almost all the tourist people are picked up and dropped at the City Centre. Because it's easy for the people to navigate and of-course that's where the Tourist information office is present to ease out last minute deals.
And I decided to head to Cliffs of Moher, which was located on the west coast of Ireland. The gigantous cliffs, stretching for about 14 kms, has always fascinated me and it was going to be a surreal experience. In no time the bus picked us all up and we were already on our way to the Cliffs. Packed in a bus full of strangers from different countries, it was all fun to know about each others stories and cultures. The agent (apart from the driver who come with us), was briefing the history of every monument we crossed on the street. There are many to ways to navigate to the Cliffs and we decided to go via Galway which is only approximately a 2hr and 30 minutes drive. You will never feel bored at all even though you gonna be an introvert. The beautiful scenic views and the interesting stories from the people in the bus will keep you entertained.
The above picture is the way to the Cliffs of Moher, it's a really long way to walk. The bliss of the pathway will takes away the stress and occupies your mind with calmness and serene.
"Quick Remainder: Make sure you take your water bottles with you."
The entire took nearly half a day to walk and enjoy the magnificence of the Cliffs and the sea. We had a small fun competition to trek to the top of the Cliffs there in which i finished second. I had a lot of fun and adventure and it is a truly a rejuvenating to the body. I took a long trip along the Cliffs and tasted some of the exquisite cuisines available there. It was dawn when I returned back to the City Centre. I finished my dinner with a fish burger and avocado eggs (Totally yum !!) I shared all the fun and stories with my friend as we dozed off together.
It was no wonder that it is one of the best tourist attractions in the entire Ireland. Most of the people who travelled with me decided to stay for a day to cover the entire area. But I decided to return back as I was left with a little time and a long list of places. Apart from the Cliffs and Sea, the place has a lot more to treat your eyes. By spending a day there we can get to know more about the local culture and tradition and also enjoy some "real" Irish music.
