W Bali- The Heart of Seminyak

Like I said, W Bali has a very cool vibe. It is modern but close to nature as it is located on the coast of the Indian Ocean and covered in greenery. My initial reaction when I got to the reception was excitement because everything looked perfect and oozed luxury from the get-go. The staff was friendly and helped me check in really quickly. I was informed about their 24 hours concierge service which was pretty awesome because I hadn’t experienced that in any other hotel.

Room by the ocean

My room was worth bragging because I could see the ocean from it. Everything spelled royal inside the room, right from the exquisite bathroom fittings, the plush bedding, upholstery and the comfortable bed. The best part was, obviously, the ocean view because I got up to it and slept looking at it. It was the best view I had ever experienced in my life. To top that off, my bathroom had a partially open roof through which I could look at the stars while soaking in my bathtub. I had no idea something so amazing could be experienced right from my room.

AWAY Spa

W Bali had a modern spa in their premise which promised all kinds of great spa treatments along with top class amenities which I was eager to check out. After booking an appointment, when I got there, I was blown over with how good and big the spa was. The illuminated floors, the mood lighting, the aromatic scents that I was welcomed with gave me a luxurious feel. Aromatherapy, body massages, body scrubs, facials and manicures were offered at the spa. My therapist was kind enough to tell me about the spa and facial I received. I also explored the Hammam steam room, detox room, hot stone bath and cold plunge vitality pool inside the spa. The ICE bar was close to the spa and served some really good drinks after I got out. My time at the spa made me feel pampered as I left with vibrant skin and freshly polished nails.

Delicious food, music and drinks on-site

WooBar was amazing! I had the best time trying new dishes and drinks at this bar that played really peppy music and was buzzing no matter which time I went there. The sky deck gave me a feeling of being on the top of the world as I took in the energy around me. Props to W Bali for hosting this club because it was full of people enjoying music, setting a vibrant night time mood. The food was a mix of Asian and western so my tummy was happy as I danced to the DJ’s happening music. The hotel itself had a playlist of its own that was played across common access places. The tunes were healing and added to the overall ambience of the hotel.

Conveniently located

W Bali was conveniently located in a place which was close to majority of the tourist spots on my list. Since Seminyak had a good market and a nightlife, along with great dining options, being close the spots gave me the freedom to step out whenever I wanted. The eat street, Seminyak Square, Bali Bombing Memorial and Tanah Lot were easily accessible. I had fun shopping at the Seminyak Square, going to a few nightclubs and exploring the art museums around. Not once did I feel lost or tired because the whole area had a lot of tourists and youngsters which added to the whole energy of Seminyak.

My time at W Bali was spent absolutely spoiling myself with good food, spa treatments, partying at the WooBar and at the beach front. I couldn’t believe how quickly it was time to go. My phone was full of photos of food and the ocean that I couldn’t wait to share with friends and family. It was the kind of experience that I can never forget because it had a lot of highlight and was full of things I can never get to enjoy elsewhere. Looking at the ocean from my room was, perhaps, the most unforgettable memory for me.
