The very first and important travel tip in the beginning, is how do you get cheapest international flight, which I figured out for Schengen countries is to Paris, Amsterdam and London and Budapest.
That is how I got cheapest return flight, for mid of April'18 for Paris in 39k, ( booked it in March beginning).
10April- Flight from Mumbai to Paris, via Doha.
Reached early morning at Charles De Gaulle airport. As my first eurotrip solo, I did all the reasearch regarding commutation, daily public transfers and few places to visit on my bucket list.
At airport only, I got 3 day public transportation card/pass.(they have got different variations according to number of rides, you can choose accordingly). And straight away I took the metro to the hostel I booked.
Reached, freshened up and first thing I wanted to see was Eiffel tower 🙊😁😂sounds cliche and overrated, but yes, without wasting any time I took a metro to see Eiffel tower.
Believe me first sight of Eiffel tower, takes you by goosebumps.
I walked all around whole day, the canal pathway, uptil the bridge and decided to take canal cruise in the evening,as that takes you around most of the important monuments with brief history (if you are on short trip) nonetheless that proved one of the best decision, because at the end of the cruise trip, saw the tower shiny and blingy with all the lights on flickering(they do it every evening around 7pm for 2mins), what a magical sight of Eiffel Tower.
Heading back to hostel and wanted to go to bed early, as the first day, and that too after all that exploring on foot. By evening made friends with roommates, planned the next day and dozed off.
Woke up to a scrumptious breakfast.(only thing I missed was our masala tea🙄)
Planned my day for olfactory tour visit, at Musée du Parfum- Fragonard, as I am into fragrances.
I loved the tour in their perfumery, the blends and specific perfumes made only by seasonal flowers!!
By the time tour ended I had my lunch at one of the french bakeries, it started pouring in. Hence I took the city bus enjoying the street views whilst raining(instead of taking metro first). By the time i reached back hostel, one of the roommate she was heading for African beats party, I tagged along ☺️that's the best thing can be done while travelling solo.
Party vibe was nice, and music was amazing. Meanwhile I was planning my next and last day in Paris while we were heading back to hostel.
Had breakfast and straightaway left for free walking tour at Moulin Rouge area.
Reached on time, however couldn't find their sign as purple umbrellas, asked vendors around(but they are not as friendly and helpful as in India), in vain.
So I was at my own, visited Moulin Rouge, had best coffee and croissant, last day I used to consume the essence of Paris by just sitting at multiple cafes and eating at boulangeries, the freshly baked smell of the breads ☺️ and cupcakes😋 was lingering inside the cafes.
In the evening, walked the area around hostel, parks, watching locals do their stuff, it was easy breezy day for me, to keep the beautiful memories of Paris as a solo women, and fell in love me once again.
