Florida is the place to be to escape harsh North American winters. The sate of Gators (alligators) and oranges Florida is the perfect amalgamation for party hunters and adventure seeking souls. Due to the paucity of time we could only see around the University of Florida town, Gainesville where we were to have meetings with the professors. St. Augustine the historical town of America is one of the oldest settlements in the country and we drove from Gainesville to St. Augustine again reminding ourselves of how amazing can road trips in this country be!
To visit this scenic wonder and enjoy the multitudes of water sports you must be accompanied with someone who is affiliated to University of Florida and has a membership card because this is a University recreation center. There are quiet a number of picnic tables on the lake shore where you can carry your KFC buckets! If you are lucky enough than you can spot a couple of gators basking in the sun.
One of the oldest settlement in the United States of America is St. Augustine. And old little quaint town is a perfect location to witness the culture and history of the place. St Augustine has throngs of tiny eateries, cafe and small boutiques which give a feel of any European settlement. This is a must visit place if you head to Florida.
It is a place for history lovers with only one problem of lack of parking. Castillo has a beautiful view of the sea and boasts centuries old cannons. It is a must see historical place.
